Brian is the smartest of the Miller children. Unfortunately he meets an Italian girl who not only takes his virginity but also tries to take his money. He thinks he is in love with her but his parents find out that she makes a habit of taking advantage of American boys.

Amy's family is from Pennsylvania. Amy moved to New York City to be on her own. Her parents are very religious and the total opposite of the Barone family. When Robert and Amy decide to get married, her parents are against the marriage but eventually accept it.
