Her romantic relationship with Clark is in no way solidified this early on, although there are moments that nod to their eventual future. Such moments are few and far-between, and were added to provide fan service.

While no actual date between Lois and Clark occurs this season, kissing takes place in the episode "Crimson" - but only under the influence of red kryptonite, which affects them both.

Fun fact: Lois and Ollie's pairing was coined "Lollie" by fans. Many portmanteaus existed across the Internet for relationships as well as fan-desired pairings. Such examples include "Chlark" (Chloe and Clark), "Chimmy" (Chloe and Jimmy), and "Lexana" (Lex and Lana). A newspaper headline in the episode "Trespass" actually refers to them as Lexana.
