"The Amazing Race 8" [2] Trivia Quiz

The eight remaining teams boarded three different planes and arrived in Charleston where they would find their clues at a gazebo in 'The Battery'. The Weaver family was first to depart from the Pit Stop in Middleburg, Virginia at 2:26 am.

Answer: Two

In 'Muddy Waters', teams needed to take a 4x4 across a mud bog and back to receive their clue. The Gaghan family completed the task on the first try, but the Aiellos took more than fifteen attempts to earn their clue. The Weavers also attempted the task, but gave up and went to the 'Forrest Gump' task.

In 'Forrest Gump', teams needed to boat shrimp boats, and using their hands, de-head two hundred pounds of shrimp. The remaining six teams chose this task.

Answer: Gaghan

After the Detour, teams had to sign up for a charter bus trip to a 'mystery destination' which later turned out to be Huntington, Alabama, Home of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. The Godlewskis, Bransens, Schroeders, and Linzes were on the first bus, and the Weavers, Gaghans, Paolos, and Aiellos were on the second bus.

Answer: Two

Since this race contains teams of four people, the Road Blocks sometimes contain two people. In this Road Block, teams needed to choose two people to ride the Centrifuge at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. Once the task was over, seams needed to find their clue by logging onto computers at the Saturn 5 Space Museum and checking their mail at AOL.com.

Answer: Aiello

After receiving their clues on the computer, teams were instructed to head to the third Pit Stop at the Space Shuttle Pathfinder. The first team to arrive, the Bransen Family, won a lifetime supply of gas from Arco and BP, and the last team to arrive, the Aiello Family, was eliminated from the race.

Answer: An office chair

Teams drove from the pit stop at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center and drove to Anniston, Alabama where they received a clue telling them to go to Talladega Speedway. Once there, teams rode around the track on party bikes and received their next clue.

Answer: Linz

After departing from Talladega Speedway, teams went to find the Southern Colonel, which was actually a mobile home dealership in Hattiesburg. Once there, they had to find a departure time. The Linz and Bransen families departed at 7:20, the Godlewskis, and Paolos left at 7:40, and the Gaghans, Weavers, and Schroeders left at 8:00.

Answer: Work

In 'Work', teams had to use two-person saws to cut four pieces off of a twelve inch in diameter log. The Paolo, Linz, Gaghan, and Godlewski families completed this task.
In 'Play', teams had to paddle to a boat in the middle of a river, and play 21 with a professional dealer. If all of the team members beat the dealer three times, they'd receive their clue. The Weaver, Bransen, and Schroeder families completed this task.

Answer: No

Instead of finishing this leg of the race with a Road Block, teams drove directly to New Orleans to the Pit Stop at Preservation Hall. To get there, teams had to cross one of the world's longest bridges.

Answer: Schroeder

The Bransen family was once again the first team to arrive at the pit stop, and this time, they won a trip for four to Florida courtesy of Travelocity. The teams which followed were Paolo, Linz, Godlewski, Weaver, Gaghan, and the eliminated team, the Schroeders.
