1. The teams had to travel by bus to Arequipa, Peru. Four of the teams worked together to have only the front door open when they arrived at their destination. Which team was not involved in this plan?

Answer: Brian and Greg

The forth team in this plan was Rob and Amber. Rob claimed that they all agreed to pay to keep the back door shut and that he only used the other teams' money.
2. The road block in leg two was "Who Loves Shoes". The teams had to choose one team member to shine shoes. How many shoe shines must they do?

Answer: 5

The person chosen to perform this road block had to choose a shoe shine representative to join them on the task. Once the task was complete they had to go to the shoe shine headquarters where they would receive their next clue. The first four teams would receive a plane ticket for the first of two flights to Santiago, Chile. Ron was the first one to finish this task. Lynn was the last one to finish.
3. The detour in leg two was "Shop or Schlep". In "Schlep" the teams had to move books from a book store to a library. How many books did they have to move?

Answer: 180

In "Schlep" the teams had to take 180 books to the Library of Congress. If they chose "Shop" they had to buy five ingredients from a market for a Chilean recipe, one of which was a fish that weighed at least 3 kilos. Some of the teams that chose "Shop" were low on money when they were shopping.
4. Three of the teams that chose "Shop" for the detour, arrived at the restaurant with a fish that did not weigh enough.
