Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When shopping at the stationery store in the beginning of the episode, what brand of pencil does Elaine want?

Answer: Rolamech

The Rolamech pencil is more commonly known as a manufacturer of pens and pencils which are attached to counters by small chains at banks. In the beginning of the episode, Elaine needs to get one for her new boss, Mr. Pitt, but there are none in stock.
2. Who gets Elaine the big salad?

Answer: George

While leaving the stationery store, Jerry and Elaine run into George and his new girlfriend on their way to Monk's. They ask if they can join them, but Jerry just ate and Elaine has to go. George offers to pick something up for Elaine and she asks for the big salad. The big salad appears in a later level as well.
3. On which hole on a golf course does Kramer stop playing golf with Steve Gendason?

Answer: 15

Kramer has been playing golf with Steve for a couple of days, and he decided to stop that when they were about to tee off at the fifteenth hole. Just as Steve was about to hit the ball, he picked it up and cleaned it off. In doing this, he ended up breaking a rule, so Kramer tried to penalize him and he lost it.
4. What is the name of George's girlfriend in this episode?

Answer: Julie

At Monk's, Julie drones on about Pulitzer Prize-winning columnists for local papers and magazines while George tries to move the conversation to football. When the cheque comes, George offers to pay for it, and while he does, Julie holds onto the big salad.

When they go up to the apartment, Julie hands Elaine her salad and George doesn't get credit for the purchase, which obviously frustrates him.
5. What colour were the pants that Steve Gendason was picking up when he murdered a dry cleaner?

Answer: Grey

When the gang watches the news, they find that Steve Gendason has murdered a local dry cleaner over a stain on his newly-cleaned pants. Kramer feels that he is somewhat responsible because he caused Steve to be so irate at the golf course earlier that day.
6. Margaret used to be Kramer's girlfriend.

Answer: False

Margaret was once Newman's girlfriend. When she admits to have gone out with Newman, Jerry is shocked and curious to find that she even dated him. Newman ended up breaking up with Margaret. Kramer later comes in to tell Jerry that they found a tee on Steve.
7. According to Jerry, Newman is a mystery wrapped in which of these things?

Answer: A Twinkie

When Jerry tells Elaine the news about Margaret and Newman, Elaine begins to think that there may be more than meets the eye when it comes to Newman. Jerry on the other hand thinks that Newman is just an idiot. He also tells Elaine that the stationery store guy has gotten the pencil, but Elaine has already gotten one from a different store.
8. Which apartment does Newman live in?

Answer: 5E

This episode gives us the first look into Newman's apartment in the east wing of the building. Jerry went to the apartment in order to get answers about the whole Margaret/Newman relationship. According to Newman, she just wasn't his type, so he stopped seeing her.
9. Does Elaine go out with the stationery store guy?

Answer: Yes

After Elaine buys the Rolamech 1000 from another store, she goes down to the other store to break the news to the cashier who went out of his way and went to the factory for the pencil. After a short tale, Elaine feels so bad that she decides to go on a date with him.
10. Why did Jerry break up with Margaret?

Answer: Because of Newman

Jerry decided that he couldn't be with Margaret because Newman didn't like her. Meanwhile, George and Julie fight about the big salad. In the end, Kramer decides to help Gendason escape by driving him out of the state.
