Answer: Winifred Burkle

Amy Acker played Winifred "Fred" Burkle from seasons 2-5, but in season 5 she was infected by the essence of a god named Illyria. The only way to save Fred was to endanger everyone between Los Angeles and the Deeper Well in England. Amy continued on to portray Illyria, and it was Emmy worthy, though she was not nominated. Angel used Fred's death to gain a toehold into the Circle of the Black Thorn so he could take down Wolfram and Hart.

Answer: Buffy Summers

Buffy was seen dying or dead on screen in several episodes. She was first seen dead (as a vampire) in "Nightmares" from season one; died at the hands of The Master in the season one finale "Prophecy Girl"; killed again by The Master in season three's "The Wish"; sacrificed herself to save Dawn in the season five finale "The Gift"; and died briefly after being shot by Warren Mears in season six. Sarah Michelle Gellar played Buffy and Adam Bush played Warren.

Dawn was prepared to jump into the mystical energy portal to save the world, but Buffy realized "death" was her gift.

Answer: Tara Maclay

Tara was killed when Warren came to kill Buffy at the end of season six. He did shoot Buffy, and she died briefly in the hospital, but Willow saved her life. Willow was unable to save Tara, who was hit by a stray bullet, right through the heart. She died in moments, and Willow's grief sent her into a rage spiral of revenge. Amber Benson played Tara from seasons 4-6, and Alyson Hannigan played Willow.

Answer: Allen Francis Doyle

Doyle was Angel's link to the PTB, powers that be, during the first part of "Angel" season one. Doyle was Irish, half-demon, and running from the man he used to be when Angel arrived in Los Angeles. In the episode "Hero", Doyle died to save demon-human hybrids, and also Angel and Cordy, from a supposedly pure demon race known as the Scourge. Before he died, he passed his visions on to Cordy, who became Angel's link to the PTB. Glenn Quinn played Doyle.

He passed away in 2002, and fans may best remember him as Mark Healy on the sitcom "Roseanne".

Answer: Anya Jenkins

Anya, formerly Anyanka, came to Sunnydale to entice Cordy into making "the wish" in season three. She lost her powers afterward, when Giles smashed her amulet. When everything reverted back to normal, Anya was left human once more. Her original human name had been Aud, and she had been alive for over a thousand years.

The first human name she used on the show was Anya Emmerson, but when the Watcher's Council visited from England in season five, she gave them her full name of Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. Emma Caulfield played Anya from seasons 3-7, and in 2016 guest starred on an episode of the first season of "Supergirl".

She has been on many other TV shows as well.

Answer: Lindsey McDonald

Christian Kane played Lindsey for the first two seasons, left town, and then returned in the final season. He first auditioned for the part of Riley Finn on "Buffy", but was felt to be better suited as Lindsey, the morally ambiguous lawyer from Wolfram and Hart. Lorne's final assignment was to kill Lindsey for Angel, who was busy killing Hamilton. Christian is also a very good singer, and has recorded country albums.

Answer: Lilah Morgan

Lilah was amongst the good guys because the Beast had demolished the L.A. branch of Wolfram and Hart. Lilah had been the only employee to live through the attack, but she was wounded. No one had figured out that Cordy had been body jacked by Jasmine, known at that time as the Beast Master. Cordy stabbed Lilah and killed her, and Angelus took the opportunity to feed from Lilah's dead body. Stephanie Romanov played Lilah during seasons 1-4 of "Angel".

Other lawyers who died during the series were Lee Mercer, Linwood Murrow, Gavin Park, and Holland Manners.

Answer: Jenny Calendar

Jenny first appeared in season one as the computer science teacher. It was revealed in season two that she was also descended from the Gypsy line that had cursed Angelus in 1898. She'd been sent to Sunnydale to make sure Angel stayed miserable. She came to like Angel, who saved her from Eyghon, and had slacked off reporting back to her uncle.

He came to town to chastise her for this, revealing her betrayal of the Scoobies, and both of them were killed. Robia LaMorte played Jenny, Drusilla, and the First during seasons 1-3 of "Buffy".

Answer: Kendra

Kendra had no last name. She came to town in season two as Spike and Drusilla were about to perform the ritual to restore Dru to health. She first mistook Buffy for a vampire, and almost killed Angel. She was the first of the "second slayers", causing Xander to make a sarcastic remark about Buffy being the "only one". Faith was the second of the "second slayers". Kendra died in the season two finale two parter "Becoming". Drusilla slit her throat with her fingernails.

Her death caused Faith to be called. Bianca Lawson played Kendra.

Answer: Cordelia Chase

Cordelia was the only answer in this quiz to be comatose. Faith was for eight months, but she never died. After "birthing" Jasmine at the end of season four, Cordy remained alive in a coma. She was allowed to return once in season five to get Angel back on the right track, and then she died.

This was in the episode "You're Welcome". Charisma Carpenter played Cordy for five seasons of "Angel" after playing her for three seasons of "Buffy".
