In this episode, the family plans to have Brian's homosexual cousin, Jasper, stay with the family for a few days on a vacation. The whole family is eager to have him stay including Peter who says that he feels like Jasper would be a good visitor. The same could not be said for Moby Dick though.

When Moby Dick visited, he demanded that Peter get him some raisin bran. Peter said that he had some Total in the house as well as raisins, but Moby decide that he just couldn't eat it because it wasn't the same.

While waiting for Jasper to arrive at the airport, Stewie walks into a control room and takes over for an air traffic controller eager for a smoke. He manages to talk to the pilot of Matthew McConaughey's airplane and he makes him think that there's a new runway in the ocean. Later in the episode, Matthew McConaughey arrives at the Griffin household and Stewie slings an arrow into his head.

When Jasper arrives at the airport, he introduces the family to his boyfriend, Renaldo, who is from the Philippines. Stewie makes a comment that Jasper will fit into the family as well as Peter fit in with The Pretenders. During a recording session with The Pretenders, Peter punched out one of the band members over his lines in a song. During dinner, Jasper announces that he and Ricardo are getting married in Quahog.

After a major golf conflict, Mayor West decided to erect a solid gold statue in the shape of the Sugar Smacks mascot, Dig 'Em in front of city hall. This not only put a dent in the city's budget, but Mayor West lost the respect of many of the town's taxpayers. A girl from Chris' school, Alyssa, is outraged by this, and Chris goes along with it to get closer to her.

In order to help Alyssa, Chris joins a group called the 'Young Republicans'. When he talks to the chancellor, he is informed that he must complete a task for initiation. In order to be in the group, he needs to go to Bill Clinton's house and throw an egg at him. Luckily, Bill Clinton is outside singing in the nude at the time that Chris comes by, and he's let into the group.

When Mayor West realizes that his idea to erect a gold Dig 'Em statue may have been a bad idea, he decides to get out his trusty list of distractions and pick one. When he chooses the 'jingle keys' option, he goes to the window and someone throws a brick at him. This causes him to bleed and he starts to assume that he's a tomato.

When Jasper brings this topic up with Lois, she's surprised that Brian allowed the wedding to happen at the house without asking her. She talks this over with Peter and realizes that she's not okay with the idea of gay marriage. After this, while watching the news, the family discovers that Adam West is about to pass a bill making gay marriage illegal in Quahog. Meanwhile, Chris opposes gay marriage as well in his 'Young Republicans' club.

In order to figure out her position on gay marriage, Lois goes to the local church and watches a video about homosexuals. All it says is that gay people like Madonna and that they're aliens with acidic blood. She's still not quite sure where she stands on the subject, and when she gets home, she's pressured by Brian to sign a petition to prevent Adam West from passing the law.

She decides to take Stewie to her parents' place.

Answer: Sex and the City

Brian goes around town getting signatures for his petition, but when he finally gets enough, Chris burns all of his work. Brian is forced to collect another ten thousand signatures from around town and he rushes to city hall to stop Mayor West. When West pays no attention to the petition, Brian takes a security guard's gun and holds the mayor hostage. Luckily, Adam West swallowed a raft in case of a situation like this, but it doesn't really seem to help.

He also swallowed a 'People' magazine and the board game 'Stratego'.

At the Pewterschmidts' house, Stewie goes through a candy dish and finds all sorts of weird things (including the key to an out-of-production Volkswagen). While watching TV, Lois realizes that she should have supported Brian and that her parents made her feel the way she did about homosexuals.

She rushes to city hall where Peter is also trying to stop Brian (although he really isn't helping), and Mayor West decides not to pass his law. In the end, Jasper marries Ricardo in the Griffins' backyard.
