Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Edna Brown had her husband tied to a chair at the opening of the game. Who did she blame for his condition?

Answer: Marty

Edna, as players found out in the third episode of the game, was controlling Hill Valley through her husband. Marty spent time convincing Doc Brown of this but before they could escape Marty, Doc and Jennifer were all taken into custody. Edna planned to punish Marty and Jennifer, and reprogram the mind of Doc.
2. How did Marty manage to deprogram Jennifer?

Answer: He played music.

Marty convinced his father to help him with the combination to a locker. His father had seen the combination on the camera. He then unlocked his guitar and broke the mind control of Jennifer by playing her a rock song. She then helped him escape before his mind was wiped too.
3. What movie was Doc Brown supposed to see in 1931 that would inspire him to create a time machine?

Answer: Frankenstein

He originally saw it in 1931, but after Marty interfered in an earlier episode of the game, Doc and Edna never saw it, which caused the alternate 1986. Doc. and Marty travelled back to fix that error.
4. Where was the Hill valley Expo held?

Answer: Hill Valley High School

Marty had to talk to Edna during the expo in 1931. Doc said he was already too far attached to Edna at that point to be able to be talked out of dating her, so they had to appeal to the level-header half of the couple. The expo was similar to the World's Fair, but only about Hill Valley California.
5. When Marty was used as a test subject for young Doc Brown's Mental Alignment Meter, what did it classify him as?

Answer: Layabout

The machine was what Doc Brown invented after he started dating Edna. It was supposed to be his display at the Hill Valley Expo in that timeline. Marty switched Doc's mind map with Kid Tannen's in order to prove the machine didn't work.
6. How did Marty travel between Emmett's lab and the Expo several times?

Answer: Skateboard

He took the skateboard off of a display outside of the Expo. The display was about the Hill Valley of the future, specifically it was used to showcase a model train.
7. Doc. Brown decided not to fix the past and instead stranded Marty back in time.

Answer: False

He had second thoughts about overwriting his own timeline, but in the end he went forward with Marty's plan as he realized that was for the best of everyone. He did leave Marty at the Expo for a brief time, only while he was feeling bad for himself, but he did not strand Marty in the past.
8. Who got Trixie fired from her job at the Expo?

Answer: Edna

Marty gave Edna a photo of Trixie in a compromising position. Edna in turn gave the photo to Arthur McFly, who was forced to fire Trixie from her job. Marty needed Trixie to be upset at Edna to help with his plan to save the prime timeline.
9. During what month was the Hill Valley Expo held?

Answer: October

There are large signs all over the town to advertise that the expo was October 12-15. There was also a calendar in Emmett's lab that also showed the dates circled as he was prepping for the expo.
10. What was the statue being installed on courthouse while Marty and the young Emmett were on the roof?

Answer: A dog

The statue was of Doc Brown's dog Einstein. There were two of them being installed on either side of the clock tower that was featured heavily in the entire "Back to the Future" franchise.
