Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

1. In the beginning of the game, the Dark Genie has blown up your village. What is the name of this village?

Answer: Norune

Norune Village, being the first place you start out at, is somewhere that you should be very familiar with. After the place is wiped out, the only thing left, however, is the destroyed blimp where the mayor lives.

Answer: True

Claude sure loves eating, which you can pretty much tell just by looking at him. If you complete his house and then talk to him in the evening/night, he will give you a piece of cheese. However, if you talk to him in the morning, you will get a piece of candy. Otherwise, he will be sleeping in his bed.

Answer: Seda

Much later in the game, you find out that Seda ruled over a kingdom many years ago. He has traveled to his future (our present) to find a way to stop the Dark Genie. Osmond is an ally you get later in the game, Tidus is from "Final Fantasy X", and Tear is from "Tales of the Abyss".

Answer: Super Steve

Super Steve is an actual weapon, built up from a Steve. Both will tell Xiao interesting, slightly humorous, and occasionally helpful information about enemies when equipped in battle. Steve can be found in chests sometime around or before arriving at Queens.

Dran is a pretty easy fight-- just shoot with Xiao then move in with Toan when he falls to the ground. Afterwards, Dran gets knocked out of his trance and gives you a map that allows you to move from area to area, in this case from Norune Village to your next stop, Matataki Village. Later on, when you complete Norune Village and get 100% for request, he teaches Toan Windmill Slash.

After reviving Trent and getting the Hunter's Earings, which allow you to understand it, Toan gets the Serpent Sword, which allows you to defeat the serpent in the Wise Owl Forest, the dungeon here, and Goro gets a Battle Axe, a very powerful weapon for him. Fudoh is the name of Goro's father, who died at the hands of the serpent, and oak and maple are just two types of trees.

7. In Matataki Village, you will be given an item that allows you to access the boss in the end of the Wise Owl Forest. What is the item?

Answer: Moon Grass Seed

After planting the Moon Grass Seed, you will need to use a Sun Dew (which can also be used to access the back floors in the Wise Owl Forest) to fertilize it and allow it to grow into steps that take you to the boss. The Sun Stone is a rare item you get through the game's trading sequence.

Answer: Masterutan

First off, while many think his name his "Master Utan", when you first fight him, the screen displays "Forest Keeper Masterutan", just as for Dran it shows "Divine Beast Dran". Secondly, the question asks for "just his name", not including his title as well.

At any rate, after the battle, like Dran, he is also knocked out of his trance, and allows you to pass to your next stop: Brownboo Village!

I'm dead serious! This is revealed much later on after getting the Moon Ship from the Sun and Moon Temple. When it flies over Brownboo, one of the villagers will look up, see this ship, and take his hood off, revealing an appearance that one would only describe a rabbit has having.

The Moon People at this time do not trust outsiders. For all they know, Toan might be an accomplice of the Dark Genie! Later on, however, they begin to trust him.
