1. To get the Celestial Weapons you first have to get the Celestial Mirror. The Celestial Mirror is made from the Cloudy Mirror. Where do you obtain the Cloudy Mirror?

Answer: Remiem Temple

To get the Cloudy Mirror you have to win the Chocobo Race beneath Remiem Temple. You can obtain several different items by opening chests on the way to the finish line. To get the Cloudy Mirror however you just have to beat the opposing Chocobo to the finish line and are not required to open any chests and this is a fairly easy task.

2. To change the Cloudy Mirror into the Celestial Mirror you have to pay a visit to the Crystal Path in Macalania Woods after speaking to a couple who have lost their son?

Answer: True

When in the Macalania Woods section of the game (not on your first vist there however) you meet a woman and her son. If you address her she will say that her husband was supposed to meet her but he hasn't shown up. If you then visit the nearby camp site you will meet the aforemetioned husband. Address him and he will rush to his Wife's side. Return to where you met the Wife and the couple reveal that there son has gone walkabouts. Go back the way you came until you reach Macalania Woods South (there is a Save Sphere here so you will know you are in the right place). If you look just to the left of the entrance to the woods you will see a shimmering pathway (the Crystal Path) follow this path and you will see the son standing in front of a strange flowery shape. Talk to the son.

After he replies Tidus says the Cloudy Mirror is reacting. He then holds the Cloudy Mirror up and it transforms into the Celestial Mirror.

3. To Power-Up the Celestial Weapons after you have obtained them you require two special items. What are they called?

Answer: Crest and Sigil

Each character has a specific Crest and Sigil to Power-Up their Celestial Weapon's to their Max Level. If you only use one of these itmes you cannot unlock the weapon's full potential. Tidus's Crest and Sigil are in the shape of the Sun, Yuna's is the Moon, Auron's is Mars, Wakka's is Jupiter, Kimahri's is Saturn, Lulu's is Venus and Rikku's is Mercury.

4. When you receive a Celestial Weapon (before it has been Powered-Up) it has three free ability fields and one filled ability field. What is the name of this ability?

Answer: No AP

When you first receive a Celestial Weapon it is pretty rubbish because it only has this ability attached to it. You need the relevant Crest and Sigil to overcome this disadvantage.

5. When you Power-Up a Celestial weapon with only the associated Crest the weapon changes. The change just adds what to the weapon?

Answer: Double Overdrive

After using the Crest to upgrade the weapon it is still rubbish. You have added one good ability but the weapon still has the No AP ability which still leaves you with a disadvantage. You need to gain the appropriate Sigil to fully max the weapon out.

6. When you use the associated Crest and Sigil to Power-Up your Celestial Weapon's the weapon reaches its full potential. What two abilities do ALL the Celestial weapons have?

Answer: Break Damage Limit and Triple Overdrive

All Celestial Weapons have four ability fields. It begins with one filled and three free. Getting the Crest will add an ability and getting the Sigil will remove the NO AP ability and add three new ones. Of the four fields two of them differ between characters.

7. Celestial weapons have no effect on the Aeons you obtain during the game?

Answer: False

Certain Aeons can 'break the damage limit' when the right Celestial Weapon has been obtained and upgraded with the weapon's relevant Crest. Valefor requires Yuna's Nirvana, Ifrit Wakka's World Champion, Ixion Kimahri's Spirit Lance, Shiva Lulu's Onion Knight, Yojimbo Auron's Masamune.

The other character's weapon's do not have any effect on Aeons. This is because Bahamut, Anima and the Magus Sisters can 'break the damage limit' when you obtain them.

8. All Celestial Weapons have two abilities apart from the two abilities that everyone gets (Triple Overdrive and Break Damage Limit). What are the name of the two abilities Tidus's Caladbolg obtains when it is maxed out?

Answer: Evade and Counter and Magic Counter

All the abilities mentioned above are attached to the Celestial Weapons. Counter Attack and First Strike are the two abilities in Auron's Masamune. Both Lulu and Yuna have the One MP Cost ability in their weapons. Lulu has the ability Magic Booster. Rikku's weapon has the Gillionaire ability and Yuna, Wakka, Kimahri and Rikku all have the Double AP ability.

9. To obtain the Venus Sigil for Lulu's Onion Knight to be upgraded to the highest level you have to dodge Lightning bolts in the Thunder Plains. You have to dodge how many consecutive bolts to get the item?

Answer: 200

You get various items in a chest just outside Rin's Travel Agency depending on how many Lightning bolts you have been struck by and how many consecutive bolts you have dodged. If you get hit by 30 bolts (not in a row but in total) you will receive an Ether and if you get struck 80 times (again in total) you will get an Elixir.

The prizes for dodging consecutive Lightning bolts are better and these are: 5= X-Potions X2, 10= Mega-Potions X2, 20= MP Sphere X2, 50= Strength Sphere X3, 100= HP Spheres X3, 150= Megalixr X4 and for 200 you get the Venus Sigil.

10. All Celestial weapons have the ability to penetrate any armour (no need for the Piercing ability) and also can affect certain Aeons. Another feature of these weapon's is dependent on the characters in question. When Wakka, Tidus, Kimahri and Rikku lose HP their weapon's power decrease's. In Lulu and Yuna's case the weapon's power decreases as they lose MP. What happens to Auron's weapon as he loses HP?

Answer: His weapon becomes more powerful

Auron is the exception to the rule on power decreases while using a Celestial Weapon. As you can see all the character's Celestial Weapon's bar Auron lose effectiveness through loss in HP/MP where as Auron gets more powerful. If Auron is about to breath his last his attack's will be twice as lethal!
