Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who does Carth Onassi hold responsible for the destruction of his homeworld?

Answer: Saul Karath

Saul Karath used to be Carth Onassi's CO and mentor. When Revan and Malak turned to the Dark Side, he was one of the first to betray the Republic, along with many men under his command, to join the Sith ranks. Carth, ever-loyal to the Republic, was furious that so many men that he had once trusted turned on him.

In order to prove his loyalty to the Sith, Saul was order to bombard a planet, Telos, Carth's homeworld. It was virtually wiped out, Carth's wife died in the attack, and his son went missing. Carth's ultimate goal, from near the beginning of the game, was to track down and kill Saul.

He eventually did confront his old teacher on the Leviathan, but Saul's death did not bring the peace of mind Carth had been hoping for.
2. Where can you find Gamorrean Slavers?

Answer: Taris Sewers

Gammoreans are large pig-like creatures (seen in "Return of the Jedi" in Jabba's Palace). They're large and strong, but dimwitted, and use melee weapons. They can be found in the Taris Sewers and on Tatooine. A few more civilized Gammoreans can be found on other worlds, also, such as the Swoop Champion of Manaan.
3. When on Korriban, you have to join the Sith Academy in order to achieve your goals. The Sith have their own code, similar to that of the Jedi's. Finish off the Sith Code. There is no peace... only passion Through passion... I gain strength Through strength... I gain power Through power... I gain victory With victory...

Answer: My chains are broken

When you tavel to Korriban, the only way to achieve your goals is to join the Sith Academy. Before you can attempt your final test at the Academy (where you find the Star Map) you have to gain a certain amount of 'Prestige' by completing enough side-quests. One quest to gain prestige, and perhaps the easiest, is to recite the Sith Code.

It's a brutally twisted version of the Jedi Code. Yuthura will tell you the code, and then you have to recite it line for line to Master Uthar.
4. What is the currency used in "Knights of the Old Republic"?

Answer: Credits

Credits, in "Knights of the Old Republic", are the universal currency adopted by worlds in the Republic. They can be used on any planet, and there is no need to exchange currencies.
5. When are you attacked by and brought onboard the Leviathan?

Answer: After finding your fourth Starmap

The first Star Map is on Dantooine. From it, you find four other worlds on which Star Maps are located. You can travel to these worlds in any order, and as many times as you want. After you have found your fourth Star Map, though, you will be attacked when you try to travel to another planet. Onboard the Leviathan you face Malak for the first time and discover your character's true identity: Darth Revan.
6. On the Leviathan, who can you play as to set your comrades free?

Answer: Jolee Bindo

The three main characters of "Knights of the Old Republic", your main character, Bastilla, and Carth, are all taken for interrogation, and you cannot use any of them to set your party free. You can choose any other party member, except for Zaalbar. Each character has a different strategy.

Mission uses her computer and security hacking abilities and other scoundrel abilities. Jolee Bindo is similar to Mission, but focuses more on The Force.

Canderous Order purposely injures himself in order to be taken to the Medical bay instead of a cell. There he uses his special healing implant to render himself combat ready. HK-47 is similar to Canderous, but he initiates a dormancy program. He's taken to the droid bay for a memory wipe so the Sith can add him to their own army.

Juhani uses her cloaking ability to avoid detection and is one of the two characters that starts off with weapons and armor. The other is T3-M4, who has to complete a logic puzzle in order to prevent a memory wipe, and then rescue the rest of the crew.
7. Which member of your party is a Mandalorian?

Answer: Canderous Ordo

Canderous Ordo is the only Madalorian in your group. You can talk to him frequently and get him to tell some of his old war stories. It was the Mandalorians that Reven and Malak went off to fight in the war between them and the Republic. After reclaiming your identity as Revan, Canderous still holds no grudge against you. Mandalorians value a strong opponent and seek the honor of fighting the most difficult enemies.

He sees that you were the one who defeated the Mandalorians and feels that any enemies of yours would certainly be worthy opponents for himself.
8. On which planet does no one join your party?

Answer: Korriban

On Taris, Carth, Mission, Zaalbar, Bastilla, and T3-M4, and Canderous all join your party. On Dantooine you can get Juhani to join your party (as long as you're careful not to kill her when convincing her to come back from the Dark Side). On Tatooine, you have the option to purchase HK-47 from the droid dealer, Yuka Laka. Finally, of Kashyyyk, you need Jolee Bindo to join your party in order to access the Lower Shadowlands, where the Star Map is located.
9. On Rakata Prime, what creatures did the Rakatans tame?

Answer: Rancors

It is assumed that Rancors were originally on a ship that crashed on Rakata Prime and they were set free. Rancors were captured and tamed by the barbaric, cannibalistic Black Rakata tribe. There are a few wild ones that you have to fight on Rakata Prime, but you may have to fight more if you choose the Light Side path and aid the Elders against the Black Rakata and The One.

Terentateks are large Dark Side creatures that may be warped Rancors themselves. They feed on Force users and build immunities. The Jedi commissioned a Great Hunt in order to exterminate them from the galaxy, but the fearsome creatures were too strong. They also had to ability to lie dormant for years on end in order to repopulate and regain their strength.

Banthas are large, hairy creatures on Tatooine that Sand People use as mounts. They are considered sacred by the Sand People. You use Banthas to lure the Krayt Dragon out of its cave. Banthas can also be found on other worlds.

Gizka are small bipedal frog-like creatures. A dock worker accidentally puts a shipment on the Ebon Hawk and then drops their responsibility on you and runs away. You can kill them with poison, which will not give you Dark Side points. If you leave them on your ship, they will disembark on Rakata Prime. One will accidentally hop into a mine's radius for you, indicating a minefield.
10. Who is the leader of the Republic Fleet?

Answer: Admiral Dodonna

Admiral Dodonna was only seen at near the end of the game at the Battle of the Star Forge. Her name was the same as that of the Rebel Alliance General who organized the attack on the first Death Star at the Battle of Yavin in "A New Hope".

Master Yoda was a General during the Clone Wars as seen in the prequel trilogy. Darth Vader was a Sith Lord, and by default, a high ranking Imperial officer. Admiral Ackbar was the Mon Calamari who led the Rebel forces in space during the Battle of Endor in "Return of the Jedi".
