Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these characters is not unlockable and is on the game already?

Answer: Meta Knight

Captain Falcon, Marth, and Ness are all characters in the game, "Super Smash Bros. Melee", however they must be unlocked on "Super Smash Bros. Brawl". Meta Knight, a new character from the "Kirby" series, is a new addition to the game, yet is a starter character.
2. In The Subspace Emissary, R.O.B. can be unlocked. However, this is not the first time that he is seen, although he has a sort of disguise on throughout the storyline. Who was R.O.B. originally introduced as?

Answer: Ancient Minister

The Ancient Minister controlled the other R.O.B.-esque robots to leave bombs that sent areas of the playing field into "subspace". He finally had a change of heart and when it looked like he was to be subdued, he returned as R.O.B.
3. Ike and Marth are the only two playable characters in "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" from the series "Fire Emblem."

Answer: True

Marth was included in "Super Smash Bros. Melee" as well. Ike is a new character to this game. Roy, however, was only included as an unlockable character in "Super Smash Bros. Melee" and was not included in the new game.
4. Which of these characters was not a playable character in "Super Smash Bros." or "Super Smash Bros. Melee?"

Answer: Ivysaur

Jigglypuff is included in all the original games of the series, whereas Mewtwo and Pichu were only included in "Super Smash Bros. Melee". Ivysaur's evolved form, Venusaur, is included in the other games but only as an item in a Pokeball.
5. The only playable character who cannot be selected at the starting screen is Zero Suit Samus.

Answer: True

Zero Suit Samus is new to the series of "Super Smash Bros." games. However, she can only be played as in a few specific levels of the "Subspace Emissary" and if Samus uses her Final Smash (or if certain buttons are pressed before a multiplayer match). If Zero Suit Samus uses the Final Smash, she will transform back into regular Samus.
6. The Master Hand is found to actually be controlling Tabuu and is subsequently the final boss and the main antagonist in The Subspace Emissary.

Answer: False

Tabuu is the final boss in the game and has a wide variety of attacks. He is exceptionally difficult to hit because he teleports rapidly around the stage. Tabuu controls the Master Hand and subdues it and Ganondorf before the player is forced to fight him.
7. Olimar is from the series, "Pakmin".

Answer: False

The correct game is "Pikmin". This game first debuted on the Nintendo Gamecube as "Pikmin" and has a sequel called, predictably, "Pikmin 2".
8. Which of the following is not an Assist Trophy?

Answer: ExciteTruck

"Excitebike" is a game for the NES and is featured as an assist trophy in "Super Smash Bros. Brawl". However, the newer game, "Excitetruck", was not featured in this game. Devil is an Assist Trophy in "Super Smash Bros. Brawl", making his first appearance in the United States.

His original game was released exclusively in Japan and was titled "Devil World!" Dr. Wright is from the SNES series "SimCity". Finally, Mr. Resetti is from the popular series, "Animal Crossing", and randomly lectures about the importance of not resetting the game.
9. Which of the following is not a Pokemon featured in a Pokeball item?

Answer: Squirtle

Squirtle, for the first time in the history of "Super Smash Bros.", is featured as a playable character along with Charizard and Ivysaur under the single character, Pokemon Trainer. Manaphy is featured as a Pokeball and perform the move Heart Swap. This move switches two characters (Player 1 plays as Player 2 and vice versa). Mew appears and drops a CD which needs to be picked up immediately. Finally, Groudon appears and performs the move Overheat which makes its body exceptionally hot and damages those who touch him.
10. How many playable characters can be unlocked in "Super Smash Bros. Brawl"?

Answer: Nineteen

The unlockable characters include many characters from throughout Nintendo series. There are also sixteen characters that you start out with on the starting screen.
