Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How is Jigglypuff's move Rest executed?

Answer: Down B

Rest can be a one-hit KO move at times and it will often kill any enemy with 25% damage. Using Sing, then Rest can be a good combo attack. Although Jigglypuff if light, he has about 5 jumps, and can almost always make it back to any level if thrown off it.
2. Will the Ice Climbers Up+B move, Belay, only work if both Ice Climbers are together?

Answer: Yes

Belay can unsuspectingly hit someone, so it's good for sneak attacks. If the CPU Ice Climber is dead, you can not perform Belay and hitting Up+B will only give you a little extra air. Belay also won't work if the CPU Ice Climber is too far away from you. Belay can also be a good move to save you and the CPU if you are ever in trouble, but check the CPU's position, Belay can be a bit unreliable at times.

The Ice Climbers will also not slip on slippery surfaces, such as the UFOs on Fourside.
3. Can Ness can perform a third jump using his PK Thunder (Up+ B) move and redirecting it at himself?

Answer: Yes

Although tricky to master at first, Ness can perform a third jump by hitting himself with his PK Thunder move. This can also be a good attack as you can electrocute yourself into other characters and damage them that way as well. If Ness falls into certain areas where he cannot reach himself with PK Thunder, Ness will, unfourtunatly, fall. Using PK Thunder on yourself will not injure you, unlike electric attacks with Pichu, so feel free to PK Thunder away!
4. Which character will hurt itself whenever it uses an electric based attack?

Answer: Pichu

Not all of Pichu's attacks will harm it, only those that are electric based. Pichu's advantage over Pikachu is that it is faster and harder to hit than Pikachu. Pichu and Pikachu have almost the exact same moves, and down+B is very useful for attacking anyone above you!
5. Which of the following Zelda moves will Kirby steal?

Answer: Nayru's Love

Although Shiek is commonly used, I rarely see anyone use Zelda nearly as much, which is a shame because she should be part of any good strategy when using Shiek. Din, Nayru, and Farore are 3 main "Zelda" series charcters that are always mentioned together.

They have appeared in "Oracle of Ages" and "Oracle of Seasons" with Din and Nayru being main characters, and "The Minish Cap" as minor characters, just to name a few games.
6. Between Fox and Falco, whose blaster (neutral B) stop enemies in their tracks?

Answer: Falco

Although Falco's weapon will stop an enemy, Fox's blaster is great for doing 'sneak attack' damage. I personally prefer Fox becuase he is a faster character, which can be great for confusing your friends, once you get used to his speed. Falco can be a bit easier to control and he falls slower, so he can link attacks in the air a little easier than Fox. My favorite move they both have identically is their down+B move, which will make all projectiles and all other things throw or shot at you bounce off you in another direction. Great for countering a fully charged super scope!
7. Will Princess Peach sometimes pull a Beam Sword out of the ground instead of a turnip?

Answer: Yes

Beam Swords are great, they don't run out of power and eventually become useless, unlike Super Scopes for example. Depending on the face of the turnips she usually pulls out, the damage is different for each face type, and throwing turnips is just annoying to other people!
8. How can Kirby shoot a star out of his mouth?

Answer: Suck in an enemy and hit A

After a few feet, the enemy will turn back to normal. Swallowing an enemy will give Kirby their power and 5 trophies show the available powers that Kirby can get. Depending on who you swallow, hitting nuetral B will give Kirby Mario or Luigi's Fireballs, Dr. Mario's Megavitamin, DK's Giant Punch, Princess Peach's Toad Block, Ness's PK Flash, Fox or Falco's Blaster, or Mr. Game and Watch's Sausage Flip, just to name a few! Try everyone's power out!
9. What does Dr. Mario shoot from his hands with the neutral B button?

Answer: Pills

Luigi shoots green fireballs, and Mario shoots red fireballs. The viruses have a trophy, but do not appear in battle. The viruses are also from "Dr. Mario", originally on the NES, and they make another cameo as enemies in "Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga" on the GBA.
10. While technically not a playable character, the Pokemon that come out of Pokeballs are an important part of the game, and one of my favorite things within the game. Which of the following Pokemon will not come out of a Pokeball in "Super Smash Bros. Melee"?

Answer: Onix

Onix does not come out of a Pokeball here, although he previously did in "Super Smash Bros." on the N64. Onix is, however, seen on the level 'Poke Floats'.
