Axel uses this catchphrase whenever he informs someone of something. He once spelled his name out for Sora and then said it. In "Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories", his catchphrase was 'commit it to memory'.

Saïx and Axel were friends as humans, but they don't really get along now. Axel was the first person to bond with Roxas in the Organization. They would go to the train station's tower in Twilight Town and enjoy sea salt ice cream together after every mission.

Axel was sent by Xemnas to kill the traitors once word came back from the Dusks of their deception. Axel is only responsible for the deaths of Vexen and Zexion, as the others fell at the hands of Sora or Riku. Ironically, Vexen and Zexion were still loyal to the Organization.

Yuffie never has interaction with Axel. Larxene likes to flirt with him when they are together. It is just an act, however, due to the fact that Nobodies can't experience emotions.

Axel tells Roxas that he's been told to bring him back to the Organization, or destroy him. He doesn't want to destroy Roxas if he refuses to come back, but Xemnas and Xaldin threaten to kill him if he doesn't. Axel tries desperately to bring Roxas back without killing him, but to no avail.

This Keyblade comes to be in Sora's possession after Axel dies. The keychain, teeth, and hilt part of it look similar to Axel's chakrams. It has eight spikes on it, being a reference to Axel's number in the Organization. The name of the Keyblade is a reference to Roxas and Axel's bond. Little chakrams and flames appear when it is used to attack.

Xion appeared in the Organization while Axel was at Castle Oblivion. Roxas began bonding with her and eating sea salt ice cream on the station tower after missions, like he and Axel would do. Roxas was the one who suggested that the three of them start hanging out together.

Axel joins Sora's side for extra support in Betwixt and Between. Sora is being overrun by dusks, but Axel steps in. Sora asks him if he's feeling regretful, but Axel denies the accusation. Axel then puts all of his power and ability into a final attack, and destroys the nobodies.

He and Sora talk as he fades away. Before fading, Axel opens a dark portal to the World That Never Was, telling Sora where to find Kairi and that he's sorry for what he's done to her.
