Shadow Flare can be learnt from Ultimate Weapon a Dragon Zombie and even Sephiroth, but there is really no use in learning it from him! As for the Pale Horse that cannot be learned it is just an attack that Sephiroth can use that hits the afflicted character with every status effect in the book simultaneously. Nega Burst is actually an attack done by the character Rikku in "Final Fantasy X" it is one of her possible 64 Overdrive attacks (Overdrive's are "Final Fantasy X's" version of a Limit Break).

Flash is quite an effective attack if you use it right. This attack is great against an enemy group as it causes Death to all of the enemies hit by the attack. The obvious downside to this attack is that powerful/Boss monsters are immune to death and as this command replaces the attack command you need other ways to attack these sorts of enemies if you have this piece of Materia equipped.

When you reach the end of the Cave of the Gi in Cosmo Canyon you see Red XIII's father. Red XIII thought his father was a coward and left his mother and the rest of the Canyon for dead when they were attacked by the Gi Tribe. However he finds out that his father went through this cave all alone fighting off all the enemies that tried to enter the Canyon this way.

He feels really proud when he finds out the truth of his father being a hero who stopped the Gi Tribe from taking a 'single step' (Bugenhagen Red XIII'S Grandfather phrases it this way) into Cosmo Canyon.

When you talk to Vincent for the first time you hear some information concerning Sephiroth and his birth. After you have spoke to him a few times he tells you to 'let him sleep'. After entering the library and talking to Sephiroth as you go to leave the basement Vincnet stops you.

He says "If I go with you will I meet Hojo?" Cloud replies with "I dunno but we're after him and Sephiroth so I guess sooner or later." Vincent then says "Lucrecia." and joins your party.

Entering the Honey Bee Inn in Wall Market is completely optional but if you want Don Corneo (the Boss of Wall Market who is in the market for a bride) picked as his companion for the night (which is incredibly funny by the way!) you must enter the Honey Bee Inn to have him put make-up on and receive an undergarment.

As for which room you enter in one room he passes out and Mukki and his friends come to check on him after the girl from the Inn panics when he falls unconscious. The second room already contains Mukki and his buddies and this is another amazingly funny interlude.

This item is very well hidden but can be picked just as you are about to leave the Don's mansion. A Hyper is a good item as it cures the Sadness status and if you want to you can use it to intentionally put you in the Fury status.

Trine is a Lightning based attack so is best against mechanical enemies. Aqualung is a Water based attack which is usually good against opponents who use Thunder attacks. This piece of information is revealed in the Northeren Crater after climbing Gaea's Cliff and travelling through the Whirlwind Maze. After the battle with Jenova Death and a fairly lengthy (but interesting and informative) conversation with Sephiroth you end up with the Shinra Execs and Hojo is with them. This is when he reveals what is meant by 'Jenova's Reunion'.
