Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In what game is the final boss Frank Fontaine?

Answer: BioShock

Perhaps not even the most memorable antagonist in the game (that distinction would probably go to Andrew Ryan), Fontaine poses as Atlas, a man who is supposedly trying to help you survive in Rapture, but is actually controlling you in order to kill Andrew Ryan and gain control of Rapture. You defeat him by extracting the ADAM out of him after he amps himself up on it.
2. In what game is the final boss General RAAM?

Answer: Gears of War

"Gears of War" focuses on Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago, two COG soldiers who are trying to fight off the Locust hordes that are attacking their home planet of Sera. The plan is to detonate a lightmass bomb in the Locust stronghold, and to do so, they need to upload data into the bomb, which leads to their encounter with General RAAM, who is surrounded by Krill and is an intimidating force.

However, after several rounds of bullets, he is taken down, and the bomb is detonated.
3. In what game is the final boss GLaDOS?

Answer: Portal

"Portal" is a puzzle game designed around the use of two portals that immediately transport you from one to the other. The whole time, you are in Aperture Labs, where you are constantly being watched over by GLaDOS. While the talking machine appears friendly during your trials, that perspective changes once it tries to kill you, leading to the final encounter. By destroying multiple pods in an incinerator, GLaDOS is eventually destroyed, leading to the lovely song, "Still Alive," being played as the credits roll.
4. In what game is the final boss Rodrigo Borgia?

Answer: Assassin's Creed II

The alternate history that is the "Assassin's Creed" series is filled with references to history, such as this reference to Rodrigo Borgia, also known as Pope Alexander VI. However, in "Assassin's Creed II", Rodrigo is in control of a piece of Eden, a magical artifact that grants control over other people. Eventually, the protagonist, Ezio Auditore (an assassin), tracks him down and fights him for the piece of Eden.

However, gaining control of the artifact, he does not kill Rodrigo, and so he escapes.

However, he is killed by his son Cesare in "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood" (remember: alternate history).
5. In what game is the final boss Meatenstein?

Answer: 'Splosion Man

"'Splosion Man", the ridiculous puzzle/platform that focuses upon 'Splosion Man, an experiment gone haywire that 'splodes everywhere and turns scientists into hunks of meat. And so, it is fitting that the final boss is a giant slab of meat with four giant meat arms.

However, once 'Splosion Man gets Meatenstein to burn each of his arms (and eat them), he then jumps inside the belly of the beast and 'splodes everywhere, causing meat to shower the earth, leaving us with the 'Splosion Man theme song to accompany the credits.
6. In what game is the final boss Lou (The Devil)?

Answer: Guitar Hero III

While the main focus of "Guitar Hero" games was to get a lot of points, "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock" incorporated battles into the equation, where the objective was to use attacks on your opponent to cause him to fail a song. And no one caused you to fail harder than Lou the Devil. By selling your soul by signing a contract, you are now forced to battle Lou for your freedom, and, fittingly, you must beat him in an INSANELY difficult version of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." When you emerge victorious, you return to the surface as a legend.
7. In what game is the final boss Dr. Fetus?

Answer: Super Meat Boy

Nothing like being a slab of meat trying to save a girl made of bandages from a fetus in a jar. But in "Super Meat Boy", you must travel through various platforming levels as Meat Boy, risking life and limb (if that's what you would consider it), and dodging all sorts of obstacles to get to Bandage Girl. On the final level, you must dodge Dr. Fetus's missiles, make it through a treacherous obstacle course, cause Dr. Fetus to fall to his death, and escape with your body intact. All in a day's work for a boy made of meat.
8. In what game is the final boss Orphan?

Answer: Final Fantasy XIII

To summarize the plot as succinctly as possible, the main protagonist Lightning and her group find themselves becoming l'Cie, which are servants of the fal'Cie, who control Cocoon, a protective sphere floating above Pulse. Each l'Cie has a Focus, a task they must complete or else they become creatures called Cie'th. So the group eventually learns their Focus is to destroy Cocoon by turning into a creature called Ragnarok and destroying a fal'Cie called Orphan, who keeps Cocoon afloat.

When they encounter Orphan, an epic battle ensues, and Lighting and her group prevail. Also, as Cocoon is freefalling to the ground, two of the group's members, Fang and Vanille, become pillars that support Cocoon as it falls, and they oversee the new beginning for the people of Cocoon.

The rest of the group lose their l'Cie markings and reunite with their families.
9. In what game is the final boss Xolotl?

Answer: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

In "Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light", Lara must chase down Xolotl, an evil spirit whose goal is to cover the world in darkness. Lara is also joined by Totec, whose job it is to guard the Mirror of Smoke that Xolotl was trapped in. Once you get to the final encounter, you must shoot him while dodging spikes, shoot him some more while dodging poisonous plants, and finally kill him in the fire pits. Once he's dead, he is sent back into the Mirror of Smoke, Totec turns back into a statue to guard it, and Lara is off to adventure (probably some tomb raiding).
10. In what game is the final boss Duke?

Answer: Tales of Vesperia

"Tales of Vesperia" follows the journey of Yuri Lowell, a swordsman from the lower quarters of Zaphias. His journey involves several different objectives, starting with retrieving an aqua blastia and ending with destroying an apocalyptic being known as the Adephagos.

The Adephagos feeds off of aer (not to be confused with air), which can be deadly to humans in large populations. While it is difficult to explain everything, the final boss fight with Duke arises from the disagreement on how to handle the Adephagos. Yuri wants to convert blastia into spirits who can convert aer into mana to use as a powerful weapon against the Adephagos. Duke wants to destroy the world.

After defeating Duke twice (three times depending on what items you collect), he agrees to help you, and the Adephagos is vanquished.
