Why is the grass so green?

So why are chloroplasts green?

The same reason the sky is blue and nothingness is black and snow is white. BECAUSE.
Green is also the middle of the visible spectrum and the least occluded light frequency and therefore the least hindered insuring proper delivery no matter the situation.
What does light have to do with color? EVERYTHING!

It can be red - There's some in a tub at the back of Chez Baloo. Not sure what species it is, but it has red-bronze leaves with no real green to be seen. Some 'red grasses' only turn red in the autumn - this stuff comes up red in spring and stays bronze until the start of winter.
