9D Pin used to fasten large boom pin = dowel large = L DO WELL And I found the red rectangle too. I hope both you, Sue, and Ivor are coping well with this very strange time we are having. Our PM suggests that those over 70 should stay indoors. Thankfully, that gives me about 8 weeks of relative mobility ... Reply #5793. Mar 30 20, 5:46 AM |

Ah, how fleeting our youth! I shall stay put as much as possible. Have to buy my groceries though; attempting to find the most quiet times to do that. Reply #5794. Mar 30 20, 7:40 AM |

Yes, I'm only going to the shops for groceries once a week or 10 days. I'm arriving early as the supermarket I use as it is reserving the first hour (0730-0830) for those over 70. Even then it's necessary to queue, as they only allow about 20 customers in initially and will then only allow the next ones in as others come out. I spending loads of time in the garden, and am much further ahead with cutting lawns and digging the vegetable garden than I would normally be at this time of the year, so that's a plus I guess! Hi, Nanny Woo (Joyce) here! I don't know if anyone remembers me, but I am sooooo ready to join this group again, I'm checking every day to see if a new puzzle is up. Looks like ya'll are near the end of one. I've been challenging myself NOT to throw out any food so I'll need fewer trips to the grocery store. My little freezer is now filled with three kinds of soup and something called "tomato bake" (a bread pudding, essentially, but with tomatoes). The tomato bake usually calls for canned tomatoes, but I saved four over ripe fresh tomatoes that way! And the bread. Also cleaning out cabinets. Getting ready to cook and freeze individual servings of oatmeal that is at its expiration date. Porridge for one for days. Stores here are designating first hour of the day for seniors, too, usually once a week. I made it out to Target yesterday for fresh fruit and salad greens, milk, more bread. I'm good for a couple of weeks. My neighbor is doing the gardening thing. Just before the official rules went into effect in North Carolina, every time I looked out the window, I saw her shifting huge bags of mulch and soil and God knows what else out of the trunk of her car! For most of us, things could be worse. Best wishes to all for health and safety. Reply #5796. Apr 02 20, 12:47 PM |

Hi Nanny, nice to have you back! Here is the next Stickler (No 48). David, the compiler, has been forced to stop writing these, so we have travelled back through the archives. http://www.australiancrosswords.com.au/SticklerW/SticklerW1mVh.html and his website http://www.australiancrosswords.com.au/WPblog/the-stickler-weekly-48/ Reply #5797.
