"Wit" starring Emma Thompson, and "Nothing Personal," not the 1980 comedy starring Donald Sutherland, but the 1995 movie about the troubles in Northern Ireland. Oh, and "Gallipoli." Reply #85. Sep 26 08, 8:05 PM |

I'd have to say either Life is Beautiful, or Gallipoli, that final fame. Reply #87. Oct 03 08, 8:38 PM |

Haven't seen anyone mention it but it's 'Million Dollar Baby' for me and I've never seen it and it is much mentioned on this thread but my wife refuses to watch 'Beaches' again so I guess that must be a choker. Reply #88. Oct 06 08, 4:22 PM |

Beneath the Waves, set in Scotland with Emily Watson. I have never felt so sad about a movie, ok yeah there are the obvious ones like the Champ, Terms of Endearment or Kramer v Kramer, but if you can patiently sit through Beneath the Waves, its a hard watch, you'll love it! One I had totally forgotten but left me upset when I saw it as a child was "Rodan." Rodan flying around destroying Japan was great... but I found the ending very sad. Anybody else see it? Reply #94. Oct 31 08, 10:41 PM |

I'm the type of person that is very emotional watching movies, but I'd say they are... - Titanic - Steel Magnolias - What's Eating Gilbert Grape and - The Fox And The Hound Reply #95. Nov 08 08, 9:37 PM |
