A friend of mine has the surname 'Say' unbelievably she nearly always has to spell it! Reply #81. Apr 30 19, 11:32 AM |

Nicknames can be a major source of annoyance or embarrassment. When I was at school, one of my close chums was known to one and all as Mash. Because we were sidekicks, guess what I was dubbed. There are still people who think of me as Sausage or Soss. Reply #82. Jun 11 19, 12:59 PM |

I like both my name's Lorna after the romantic heroine of the novel Lorna Doone. My parents spent lots of holidays in Devon before I was born and where the book was set and loved the area and the story. It is always strange when I turn up somewhere and there is another Lorna in the room as it is not very common. My second name is Rosemary for remembrance and I always say, once seen never forgotten. I had a good friend who always called me Rosie after I told her I liked the name Rosie. On this site most people call me Ruby which I am more than happy with but it is really the name of my oldest cat. Reply #83. Oct 04 19, 10:05 AM |
