Do you have odd dreams that you can´t explain? I had one this week. I was talking to my dog. I had the Dog-Human dictionary and with the help of it I told her "p-p-p-p-p", which meant in Doggish: "Look at the stars how bright they are shining":)

I have heard that medication can make you dream strange things; food too. I find that interesting. I think most dreams are brought on by the thoughts in our heads, they jumble together and make for strange visions. Of course that is just a theory and it doesn't apply to all dreams. Reply #21. Have a recurring dream every once in a while: I'm in a restaurant. In the restaurant are all the great Classical composers I know, sitting at their respective tables. (A table for the French Romanticists, a table for Italian symphonists, etc.) I am seated at a medium table chatting with Gioacchino Rossini. In the middle of it all, Wagner walks in, and sits directly opposite me. A waiter comes to take our orders, and I see gefilte fish on the menu and order it. Wagner decides he'll also try "some of what he's having" (he uses a different term to refer to me). The waiter leaves, and returns with our fish. We both start eating. After not too long, I hear Wagner muttering into his sideburns: "Something in the fish, must be something in the fish..." That's when I generally wake up. Reply #23. Apr 14 11, 12:24 AM |

Had an odd one last night. I was talking to two twenty-somethings, and one of them asked me if I knew an old song about flowers and San Francisco. So I start singing, and the younger of my two companions decides to harmonise - "If you're going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair..." which was very odd because I haven't heard the song, or given it any thought, for years. My dreams are always weird but I seem to remember them when I get up. I usually see myself flying in my dreams. I have also noticed that i get dreams usually when i am nervous about something but the dream is not related to the subject. Reply #30. May 07 11, 2:41 AM |

Two days ago I had one of the strangest dreams I've ever had in my life. I dreamed I was back in my girlfriend from college's house. I haven't been there in 40 years, but I remember what it looked like. In my dream, I remember feeling confused and thinking, "Why am I here? How did I get here?" I wandered around for a minute or two. and touched a plant that was in the living room. Then I heard a noise like a scuffling sound. I thought it must be my old girlfriend, which makes no sense, since she died many years ago, but dreams seem to have a logic of their own. I started to turn in the direction of the noise, when I heard a voice say "Elizabeth calling!" It wa a very, very loud voice - so loud that I woke up. Elizabeth was my girlfriend's mother, and it was HER voice. I was quite shaken by the experience, although I don't know why. It took me several hours to get back to sleep. Today, just on a hunch, I checked online and found her obituary: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/kansascity/obituary.aspx?n=elizabeth-graves-lunt-tyke&pid=157762190#fbLoggedOut She died about five months ago. Was she trying to get in touch with me for some reason? If so, I can't imagine why. We were never that close, and truth be told, I don't think she even liked me that much. I rarely have an odd or disturbing dream. They're always colorful and sort of straightforward. I sleep very soundly and am slow to fully awaken so maybe I just don't remember most of them. I sometimes have the same dream that I'm thin & don't have any health problems except for my blindness. The dream goes on with me going to college, making new friends, lofalling in love, getting married, & having a family. Basically having a life beyond my real life that has health problems. Reply #33. Callie_ross, when I was 19, I had a dream very similar to yours. In the dream it was night-time. I was at my Dad's house, sitting with him on the couch. He was very sick but didn't like hospitals. Suddenly, I saw a face appear at the window and found myself running madly around the house, closing all the blinds and curtains, trying to make the scary face go away. I remember having a dream where I was telling everyone in my dream that I was just dreaming, and none of them believed. The next day, after waking up, I was in a weird state where I wasn't sure if I was still dreaming or not. That was a strange day. Sooz and Elusive Dream, two lovely ones there. With training and sometimes without we can tune in to outside events while awake, but when asleep we are open to whatever comes in as there is no other information or intention to block it. That implies an absence of real time and space, as time after time examples, quite verifiable, occur of seeing something so clearly we know exactly what it is before it has happened or been discovered to have happened in reality. Add to that the ordinary people (including me) who hear new music and information we could never have created or known directly, and it indicates we are both able to do it at all, and if at all then potentially all the time. That is also being found more and more in quantum physics confirming what the mystics have been teaching for thousands of years. It's not how often it happens as it's usually so rare we tend to isolate it as unusual, but whether it's possible at all at that level, which it clearly is. The frequency is a matter of deliberately learning methods to cultivate it, which I have personally been doing the last 22 years with varying results but enough to know it's worth continuing with.
