Subject: Popular Music of the 1990s

I can pretty easily recognize sounds from the 1960s through the1980s, and I'm doing my best to keep up with tunes from the 2000s, but I must have been asleep during the '90s. Could you help me with a catch-up list of maybe 5-7 selections? I can't lose an entire decade of music! Oh, yeah, and I'm a Baby Boomer. :)

Definitely depends on your tastes but I'd recommend: Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana), Unfinished Sympathy (Massive Attack), Bittersweet Symphony (Verve), Live Forever (Oasis), If I Ruled the World (Nas) and No Scrubs (TLC) as basic popular 90s songs. Reply #1. Sep 27 23, 5:29 PM |

Definitely check out more from Massive Attack if you get the time, their music sounds incredibly “90s”. Blue Lines, the album unfinished sympathy was on, is pretty upbeat and positive and Mezzanine is dark and brooding, really good contrast. Reply #11. Sep 28 23, 10:36 PM |
