Sodor. Thomas' Branch Line runs from Knapford to Ffarquhar. Sodor is not actually a real place but in the stories it lies in the Irish Sea.
Jupiter. 'Fireman Sam' is based in Wales in a fictional town called Pontypandy (a mixture of two, real life towns - Pontypridd and Tonypandy). The main character (and Dylan's favourite), Norman Price is a mischievious but loveable little boy who causes chaos in nearly every episode. Good job Fireman Sam, "the hero next door" is close by to save the day!
Pilchard. In Peru, Bob is known as 'Bob El Constructo'. He's known as 'Borek Stavitel' in the Czech Republic and (my favourite), 'Puuha-Pete' in Finland!
Ballet. Angelina Mouseling is the main character in 'Angelina Ballerina' about a young mouse who dreams of becoming a famous ballerina. Her best friend, William Longtail, is always trying to impress her as he is very fond of her and, together, they have some wonderful adventures!
Green. The rest of him is purple (apart from his yellow toenils!). Along with his friends, Baby Bop, BJ and Riff, Barney helps the neighbourhood children with their reading, writing, arithmetic and making sense of the world!
Penguin. Pingu and his friends speak a strange language called 'Penguinese' but they are quite easy to understand once you have watched it a couple of times! Pingu also makes funny noises which mean different things; "Nug-Nug" when upset or angry, "Hoo-Hoo" when happy or excited and "Meck-Meck" when he's being a little bit naughty!
The Ninky Nonk. The 'Pinky Ponk' is an airship which has many fins and colourful flashing lights. The toys in the Night Garden use it to fly around the forest. The 'Stinky Stonk' and 'Dinky Donk' are names which Dylan calls it when he gets over-excited!
