billiards. One of W.C. Fields earliest films is entitled, "The Pool Shark." Fields was not only a skilled pool player and juggler, he was also a professional drowner. He would wade out into the ocean and pretend to drown and while he was being revived, someone else would sell snacks to the crowd who had gathered to watch.
Rope. Hitchcock shot the entire film in ten minute takes. The movie was based on the famous Leopold-Loeb murder of the 1920's. The 1948 film starred Jimmy Stewart, John Dall and Farley Granger.
mustard. Dijon Mustard is a strong, smooth French mustard. Grey Poupon is a popular brand in the U.S.
The green room. The room does not actually have to be green, it is just a traditional term. Legend has it that the phrase "green room" dates back to the times of Elizabeth I. The phrase could have come from the fact that the room served as storage for plants that were used as props and as an entrance for actors or it could be that the entrance that actors waited on during that time period was actually outside on the lawn.
Library. The book features Agatha Christie's Miss Jane Marple and it is set in the small English town of St. Mary Mead.
Hall. Monty Hall hosted "Let's Make a Deal". Bob Barker hosted "The Price is Right", and Wink Martindale hosted "The Jokers Wild".
knife. Bowie is credited with inventing the famed Bowie knife.
plumb. The plumb line can be used not only to determine vertical direction, but also depth.
clue . They are part of the BOARD GAME called CLUE. The KNIFE and ROPE are weapons. (colonel) MUSTARD, (professor) PLUMB, (miss) SCARLET and (Mr.) GREEN are characters. The STUDY, LIBRARY and BILLIARDS are rooms.

physician. Galen, born in 129 a.d., was the son of an architect. He is sometimes credited as the father of modern medicine.

slumber. They also make good settings for the slasher movies.
cross. A ROOD is a large crucifix on a beam or screen at the entrance to the chancel of a church.
Stupid. Sadly, a dog that can catch a ball out of mid air and make it look cool makes more money than I do.
He's So Shy. The other songs were hits by the Shirelles.
Weezy. Weezy was derived from her first name of Louise.
Seven. The 1954 movie starred Howard Keel and Jane Powell.

The seven Dwarfs . I am afraid it is 'The Seven Dwarfs'. The first answer was SYNONYM. The next seven answers are {synonyms;} Physician (DOC) Felicity (HAPPY) Slumber (SLEEPY) Cross (GRUMPY) Stupid (DOPEY) Shy (BASHFUL) and Weezy (SNEEZY). The final clue of SEVEN, refers to the number of Dwarfs. (Please, don't everyone groan at once!)
Peppermint. Peppermint, originally grown in Europe, is cultivated in several different States in the Americas, including California, Indiana and Florida.
Schultz. Played by John Banner, he was famous for saying, 'I know nothing'.
Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds. The other songs are by the Hollies.
Woodstock. Other performers included Jimi Hendrix, Crosby Stills and Nash and Joan Baez.
Charles. Nick and Nora Charles (and their dog Asta) were famous movie detectives. They were played by William Powell and Myrna Loy and the series of movies were known as 'The Thin Man Series'.

Peanuts. Among the characters in 'Peanuts' are Peppermint Patty, Lucy, Linus, Snoopy, Woodstock, and Charlie (Charles) Brown. The cartoon strip was created by Charles Schultz in 1950. Charlie Brown's father was a barber. One of the characters, Schroeder, was devoted to Beethoven.
