Lester Pearson. Born in 1897, Lester Bowles "Mike" Pearson was Canadian Premier for five years during the 1960s. L.M. Montgomery. Lucy Maud Montgomery OBE was born in Clifton, Prince Edward Island in 1874. Besides "Anne of Green Gables", she has published a further 19 novels and around 500 short stories. L.M. Montgomery died in 1942 aged 67. It is often speculated she may have committed suicide by taking a drug overdose.

Howie Mandel. Howard Michael Mandel was born into a Jewish family in 1955. As a young stand up comic he was tagged "a wild and crazy borderline psychotic". Mandel's first real taste of fame came playing Dr. Wayne Fiscus in "St. Elsewhere". He replaced David Hasselhoff in the fifth season of "America's Got Talent", and later went on to host the popular game show "Deal or No Deal".
Kim Campbell. Avril Phĉdra Douglas "Kim" Campbell became Canada's first female Prime Minister, in June 1993. Unfortunately her tenure lasted less than five months when she was succeeded by the Liberal Party's Jean Chrétien.

Marc Garneau. Joseph Jean-Pierre Marc Garneau is a former Canadian astronaut, turned politician. He became the first Canadian in space in 1984 by being a crew member on three NASA Space shuttles. In 2001 he took the post of President of the Canadian Space Agency. In 2006 he entered federal politics.
