Bill Derlago. Vaive led the team in goals and points, but Derlago's 50 helpers were tops on the Leafs. Salming's 44 assists were good for second.
Bob Sauve. Amongst the other Leaf goalies in the 80's were Bunny Laroque, Mike Palmateer, Allan Bester, Ken Wregget, Jeff Reese, Peter Ing, and Mark Laforest.

Rick St. Croix. On January 9, Rick St. Croix suffered a pulled hamstring while giving up 2 consecutive shorthanded goals. Steve Kasper scored both with the second, happening at 2:47 of the first period. Tim Bernhardt replaced him and got credit for last 57:13. The record books show St. Croix playing 9 games not 10!

Allan Bester and Ken Wregget. This appears to be the first time in NHL history that two goalies so young started the season together. The reason this never happened before is that it doesn't work. Both Wregget and Bester were in St. Catherines (AHL) by December '84.
