Air Canada. Air Canada Centre was feted by its victorious primary tenants on back to back nights. The Maple Leafs defeated the Montreal Canadiens on February 20, 1999, while the Toronto Raptors of the NBA beat the then-Vancouver Grizzlies the following night. St. Petersburg Times. Opened as the Ice Palace in 1996, the St. Pete Times Forum was the third home of the Tampa Bay Lightning franchise. Immediately before playing at the Forum, the Lightning played their home games at the Thunderdome (later known as Tropicana Field). Bell Canada. Replacing the historic Montreal Forum as the home of the Canadiens, Bell Centre opened in 1996 as Molson Centre.
