Saskatchewan Roughriders
Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Every Labour Day from 1966-2003, the Blue Bombers have gone to Regina to battle it out with the Riders.
Kevin Mason. Kevin Mason backed up Reggie Slack when the Riders lost the Grey Cup game to the Argonauts 47-23 in 1997.
Regina. The Riders played in Saskatchewan's capital city, Regina in 2003.
Taylor Field. Taylor Field was built in 1946 and has a capacity of 27,637(without extra Grey Cup seats). The field was named after Neil J. "Piffles' Taylor who was a prominent rugby and football player in Regina. Taylor Field was also home of the University of Regina Rams football club in 2003.
1989. The Riders won the Grey Cup in 1989 against the Hamilton Tiger Cats in Toronto. The Riders made it to the Grey cup in 1997 only to lose to the Argonauts. The Riders were the host city of the Grey Cup in 1995.
Rocky Butler. Because of injuries to Nealon Greene and Kevin Glenn, Rocky Butler got his first CFL start against the strong Blue Bomber team. He surprised the CFL by leading the Riders to victory.
Trek and Trail Trailblazers. The Rider cheerleaders previously had the name of the Dreamteam, but in 2003, it was the Trek and Trail Trailblazers.
Gainer. The best mascot in the CFL was most definitely Gainer the Gopher of the Roughriders. He always got the rowdy Saskatchewan fans going and was also very humourous.
Paul McCallum. Paul McCallum was in his tenth season with the Riders in 2003 and was very successful in those years.
