Quinn. Quinn has played for Sunderland and Arsenal. He was a tall player and uses his height to great advantage by getting his head on the ball. He scored lots of goals.
Upton. Upney and Upminster are two suburbs of London which are, in fact, quite close to Upton Park. The official name of the ground is The Boleyn Ground. It was named after the local pub.

Zenith. This competition was only for teams in the top two divisions. I think that the most probable reason for its demise was the reintroduction of English clubs into Europe as this created more fixtures.
Miller. Wolves most famous and prolific striker was, of course, Steve Bull, who they signed from arch-rivals West Bromwich Albion.
Amsterdam. Ajax are one of the best Dutch club sides, along with Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven. Holland has produced some superb footballers such as Johann Cruyff Ruud Gullit and Dennis Bergkamp.
Shrewsbury. Shropshire is a very rural county which may go some way to explaining why they do not have many top class football teams. Telford are the second best Shropshire side, and they were in the Football Conference in the 2002-03 season. They were relegated at the end of the 2002-3 season.
Taffarel. Brazil are much more famous for outfield players rather than goalkeepers. The greats include Pele, Rivelino, Ronaldo and Zico.
Everton. Everton are one of the two big Merseyside clubs, the other being Liverpool. Tranmere is also located in this area. Exeter is in Devon. "Emmerdale" is the name of a British soap opera and Eastbury is the name of a school near where I live.
Rovers. Without doubt the two biggest clubs in Scotland are the two Glasgow clubs, Rangers and Celtic. These teams are huge rivals, partly because of their religious differences, Rangers is Protestant and Celtic is Catholic.

West Ham United. West Ham won the F.A Cup three times in the twentieth century. The years were 1964,1 975 and 1980.

Aston Villa. Blackburn originally had Enckelman on-loan for a month between November and December, 2003 before signing him in a permanent deal. Enckelman started his career with TPS Turku in his native Finland in 1997, before joining the Premiership with Aston Villa two years later.
Graham Taylor. Former Arsenal defender O'Leary took over the Villa hotseat after being sacked by Leeds United. Taylor had two spells at the club, the first being between 1987-90 before leaving for the England manager's job, then between 2002-03.
Millwall. Sheringham signed for Millwall as an apprentice and turned professional in 1984. During 1985, he had a short loan spell with Aldershot, and signed for Forest in 1991, where he played just one season before moving to Tottenham for 5 seasons. In 1997, Manchester United came knocking at the door, and he duly signed for them where in 1999, he won the European Cup, English Premiership and FA Cup before re-signing for Spurs in 2001 after his contract expired. In the summer of 2003, Sheringham moved to Premiership newcomers, Portsmouth.
30. Geordie crowd favourite Shearer hit 30 goals in 63 games for England. He is also one of the very few people to achieve the rare feat of scoring a hat-trick on his Football League debut while playing for Southampton in 1988.

Eric Cantona. Cantona scored in the 85th minute to give United the F.A. Cup, and the team won their second double (League Champions and F.A. Cup) in three years.
Dwight Yorke. Dwight Yorke scored nearly 30 goals, surpassing everyone else on the team. He was so confident, he once bet Sir Alex that he could score a hat-trick against Brondby. He scored once but was then subbed. He wasn't forced to pay.

A soccer ball with stars on it. This ball is always shown before a Champions League game of any type. Until it is time for each game to start, there is a giant logo laying on the center circle. Real Madrid won the first 5 Euroipena Cups 1956-57-58-59-60, and again in 1966. They did not win another Europena Cup before it changed to the Champions League; when their first success came in 1998.

Atletico Madrid. Raul was born in June 1977. His father signed him to the Atletico Madrid youth team at the age of 13. Raul rose through the ranks, winning the national title with the Under-15s. Ajax. Founded in 1900, Ajax played in red and white striped shirts and black shorts. When Ajax promoted to the first division in the early 1900s, it had to change. Sparta Rotterdam, an older and in those days bigger club wore the same outfit. From then on, Ajax played in the same outfit for over 100 years.
