Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson. Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson have worked together on numerous projects, including "Bottom", "The Young Ones", "The Comic Strip" and the "Dangerous Brothers", to name but a few.

Where do Richie and Eddie live?Bottom (Linus_337)

Hammersmith. Yes, they are the self-styled "Hammersmith Hard Men".

What was the name of Rik Mayall's character in the show?Hammersmith's 'Bottom' (silverginger)

Richard Richard. Eddie Hitler was played by Ade Edmonson, Christopher Ryan played Dave Hedgehog, and Spudgun was played by Steve O'Donnell.

What do the boys generally have to drink in the pub?Bottom (Linus_337)

Half a pint of Mild. Richie once ordered an Absinthe, but this led to Dick, the landlord, questioning Richie's romantic inclinations.

In "Smells", what do Richie and Eddie buy to make themselves irresistible to women?Bottom (Linus_337)

Pheromone spray. "This stuff attracts women like you wouldn't believe - Karachi Medical Gazette", reads Richie from the local paper. Confident that women will be unable to resist them, the boys douse themselves in the spray and head to the pub, but sadly the best laid plans can go awry...

In "Gas", what is the name of Richie and Eddie's neighbour?Bottom (Linus_337)

Mr Rottweiler. Mr Rottweiler was played by the late Brian Glover. As well as being an eminently recognisable British actor, Brian Glover's diverse career included a stint as a professional wrestler in the late 1970s. He supplied the voice for the "Gaffer" in the long-running Tetley tea adverts for many years, and also had roles in "An American Werewolf in London" and "Alien III".

In "Finger", of whom does Richie supposedly do a "brilliant" impersonation?Bottom (Linus_337)

Leonard Rossiter. In fact it is so bad that all the diners in the hotel restaurant, where he does the impression, leave. The boys are staying at the Marveloso Splendido Hotel, Wolverhampton, after having stolen Cannonball Taffy O'Jones's honeymoon tickets. Eddie has to dress as a woman and be known as "Edwina" for the ruse to work.

In "Dough", what has Eddie been doing in his bedroom for a week?Bottom (Linus_337)

Forging Money. Eddie's plans for a life of riches fail, however, due to the fact that his forged money includes such items as £27 notes, and also because he has dispensed with the image of the Queen on some notes, in favour of celebrities in questionable situations.

In "Contest", on which contestant does Eddie say he has placed a £10 bet that she will win Miss World?Bottom (Linus_337)

Miss China. Yes, Miss China, at odds of 1000-1. Eddie later confesses that he did not put the bet on, but just pretended he had in order that Richie would insist they watch Miss World. He actually spent the money on a slap-up meal for himself.

In "Carnival", the boys discover a videotape of someone in a compromising situation, but who?Bottom (Linus_337)

The Prime Minister. They try to blackmail the Prime Minister (when this episode was originally aired, John Major was the Prime Minister), but end up with their flat surrounded by special forces. They end up being gunned down in a hail of bullets (akin to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid). Even though this was the last ever episode, it was not the end. Richie and Eddie live on in special video releases and nationwide theatre tours of "Bottom Live!". Thanks for taking the "Bottom" quiz - hope you enjoyed it!

In "Apocalypse", who does Richie say wrote the dictionary?Bottom (Linus_337)

Jesus. Richie challenges the Grim Reaper (Eddie in disguise) to a game of "I Spy" to save his soul. Richie chooses "scythe", but Eddie insists that "scythe" starts with a "c". When Richie points to it in the disctionary and spells out S-C-Y-T-H-E, Eddie says "that's zither".

In "Accident", what is the name of the horse that Eddie gives Richie as a tip, for Richie's birthday present?Bottom (Linus_337)

Madame Swish. Dave Hedgehog is a friend of Eddie's. Richie breaks both legs in this episode. The episode begins with Richie pretending he has received birthday cards from Abba, "all the lads on the Ark Royal", and the people of the Soviet Union "with grateful thanks to Comrade Richie". They are the same cards he sends to himself EVERY year!

In " 's Up", what type of business are Richie and Eddie left in charge of for the morning?Bottom (Linus_337)

Shop. Of course, it ends in disaster. Richie insults and threatens the customers (one being a doctor played by the late, great John Wells) and then both Richie and Eddie desert their posts to go and sunbathe on the roof. The shop ends up being ransacked and looted.
