Spunk. Ed Asner that plays Mary's boss, Lou Grant, told her that she had spunk. He then said, "I hate spunk". I believe this was during the pilot episode.
Ottoman. When the theme song started playing, Dick would come in and see his friends and family, and has he was rushing over to greet them, he would trip over the ottoman. Sometimes though, he wouldn't trip over the ottoman. Did you ever notice that in the opening credits whether or not he tripped over the ottoman, that he would shake Morey Amsterdam's hand twice?

If Granny was feeling down about something, and they happen to show up, she got happy again real quick. I didn't care for the show at all. I thought all the characters were pretty strange acting. However, my dad loved the show.
"All in the Family". This was the opening line to "All in the Family". This song was sung by Archie and Edith Bunker. Edith was playing the piano, and they were both singing. They might not have made the top 40, but their song sure was a big hit to millions and millions of viewers.
"The Andy Griffith Show" and "Happy Days". On "The Andy Griffith Show", he played Andy's son, Opie. This show was on during his younger years in life. However, "Happy Days" was after he was an adult. The show was done in the 1970's, but it had a 1950's theme to it. To me, those were the days of being able to cruise safely with your friends on Friday and Saturday nights and not get in trouble.
Leon. He was in only one or two episodes, but Ron Howard's brother, Clint, played Leon in "The Andy Griffith Show". To help ring a bell, he was the one that was always turned down offers for a bite of his peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
