A supermarket. After expressing a startling desire to cut loose and live with reckless abandon, Maddie...stops to buy some frozen food. She gets back in the car and just misses noticing the pursuit. Undaunted, David insists Bert continue the chase.

Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ron Sawyer, who left Maddie with no money, only a detective agency run by a cad named David Addison, built a casino in Buenos Aires with the money he embezzled from Maddie and his other clients.

At a bowling alley. After a fight in the lanes, the detectives capture both fugitives. The police arrive. Maddie and David talk things over, but Maddie never has a chance to tell David the *real* news... and things head on into the next day.
