Robin of Sherwood
They are burning. Each time the Merries lose someone, they are doing that rite in order to honor them and keep them in their memories.
"For the sake of everything we've meant to each other, you must care. Because that way, you keep alive all we've believed in. And I can't die then, can I?"
Whose voice do we hear? | "Robin of Sherwood": "Herne's Son (Part 1)"

Michael Praed. Michael Praed left Robin of Sherwood at the end of the second series, and we see him talk to Marian in that flashback.
The Sheriff of Nottingham. After discovering that all the Merries managed to escape, he realizes that there's another Hooded Man, seeming to take Robin Hood's place.
The Earl's son. It's the first appearance of Jason Connery, who takes over the role of Robin Hood.
Gulnar. Gulnar, who is played by Richard O'Brien, also appears in the episodes "Cromm Cruac" and "Time of the Wolves". Richard O'Brien is, by the way, the man who wrote "The Rocky Horror Picture Show".
He's his brother. Hugo de Rainault is played by Philip Jackson. As Marian's ward, he is the one who intends to send her off to a convent so the church (i.e. himself) can get her father's lands.
Robert of Huntington. There are actually two different legends of Robin Hood and after Michael Praed left the series, writer Richard Carpenter used the second version for Connery which says that Robin Hood was an Earl's son.
Sir Richard of Leaford. That character is played by George Baker. We later learn that Marian was pardoned after Robin's death because Sir Richard fought his way back to favour on King John's side.
How many?. Actually, it's about a woman, like always. Robert and Owen of Clun are swordfighting because, in Robert's opinion, Clun insulted her.
Marian. Owen of Clun takes her to his castle to marry her. This is why Robert of Huntington kind of wakes up and follows Herne's call.
Nasir. Nasir is also taken to the castle of Clun, where he's trained in swordfighting by Clun's right-hand man, Grendel.
shepherds. After Robin Hood died, the Merry Men split up and are now spread all over the area because they lost heart. It's Robert's duty now to get them all together again.
Nasir. Nasir is asked by Owen of Clun if he served Richard of Leaford. He was caught in action while he tried to help Sir Richard to escape.
Marian's in danger. When Herne first asked him to, he rescued the Merries, but then threw away the bow and arrows. Now he's in love with Marian and changes his mind in order to rescue her as well. Therefore he needs the Merries and begins to look for them.
John Abineri. In fact, the series was the first series ever where a pagan spirit was meant to be the "good one" and the church took the evil part.
Robert of Huntington. Robert of Huntington, or Robin Hood, is chosen by Herne the Hunter to be his son, guided by the powers of Light and Darkness. Of course, Robin of Locksley was the first one to be Herne's son, but since he's dead now, there has to be a successor.
Brother Tuck. According to Edward of Wickham, Tuck's the only one who stayed in Sherwood after the Merries split. Robert finds him at the river and tries to convince him to join Robert.
Guy of Gisburne. We hear that famous line coming from Gisburne after a peasant arrives at Nottingham to tell the Sheriff that he spotted a hooded man on a grey horse. This is where the rumour starts that Robin Hood is back.
Robert Addie. Guy of Gisburne later turns out to be Robin's half-brother. Lady Gisburne had a relationship with Robert's father, the Earl of Huntington.
Clannad. Clannad had a huge success with the soundtrack of the series. Also, the music won the show an BAFTA TV award.
"Because the fire burned bright in him, and for a while it warmed us all.". But now, according to Little John, he's gone, and the fire went with him. That's why John refuses to join Robert and Tuck at first.
Lichfield. Little John thinks the village's name started with an "L" and comes up with suggestions like Lincoln, Leicester and York(!).
He runs an alehouse with his brother. When the Merries find Will, he's completely drunk and willing to fight Robert for disturbing him in his booze.
There's a great fistfight between Will and Robert which lasts for about almost ten minutes and where they are fighting and wrestling through the whole village. Who wins the fight? | "Robin of Sherwood": "Herne's Son (Part 2)"
|
No-one. No-one wins because Little John interrupts them and escapes with them from Lichfield in order to get rid of Sir Guy of Gisburne. By the way, in the audio commentary on the DVD, Jason Connery tells that the shooting of the fight took the whole day. And according to Kip Carpenter, the writer, it's based on the film "The Quiet Man"
a small container with a magic potion. According to Gulnar, the magic potion would make Marian more than willing when Lord Owen of Clun finally would marry her.
Will Scathlock. In fact, Will changed his name from Scathlock to Scarlet when he became an outlaw, but changed it back twice, namely in "Herne's Son (Part 2)" and in "Cromm Cruac".
Guy of Gisburne, who is convinced that Robert of Huntington is Robin Hood, has followed them to the village and tries to convince some of the locals to look for Robert. But he's not really successful and ends up doing what? | "Robin of Sherwood": "Herne's Son (Part 2)"
|
falling through a trap door. Gisburne tries to find five outlawed men, but the only answer he gets is "I don't care if it's five or fifty-five!"
"I drink to that.". In the outtakes (on the DVD), we see Ray Winstone several times trying to smash the mug on Jason Connery's head, but it always breaks right before it even touches Jason.
"Nothing's forgotten. Nothing's ever forgotten.". That was what the original Robin Hood always said, so Will turns around, asking "What did you say?". Robert just answered "You heard me".
knocks two women out, trying to escape. But after escaping from her chamber, Gulnar finds her and gives her the magic potion he prepared earlier.
