|What is the name of Mr. Harrison's bird?|
Ginger. "...Mr. Harrison kept a parot called Ginger." The infamous foul-mouthed parot Ginger tended to refer to Anne as the "Red-haired snippet." He also had a colourful vocabulary, taught to him by his previous owner, a sailor!
|In chapter eight, "Marilla Adopts Twins," Davy and Dora become the newest residents of Green Gables on the death of their mother. What was her name?|
Mary. Mary Keith was Marilla's third cousin. She brought the twins back to Green Gables to save them from their neighbours! "Mrs. Lynde says Henry Sprott is the most profane man that ever lived" and the other neighbours wern't a lot better, "Mrs. Lynde says that Mr. Wiggins sells everything off the place that can be sold and brings his family up on skim milk!"

Charlotte E Morgan. Anne and Diana prepare all day for the arrival of Priscilla and her famous aunt, Mrs. Morgan. However, Anne has gotten the date wrong and she turns up at a less than opportune moment!
|What unfortunate event occured at the Copp place?|
Anne fell through the roof. While visiting the "Copp girls" for the use of a willow-ware platter, and finding noone home, Anne decides to climb on the roof to get into the pantry to retrieve it. All does not go to plan and she falls through the flimsy roof and is stuck around her armpits in the shattered roof for some time!
|What is Charlotta the Fourth's real name?|
Leonora. Charlotta Bowman was the first of four sisters to live with Miss. Lavender. The second was Julietta, who Miss. Lavender called Charlotta the Second, the third was Evelina(Charlotta the Third) and Charlotta the Fourth's real name was Leonora Bowman.
|Mr. Harrison springs a surprise on everybody when Emily turns up. Who is Emily?|
His wife. After living alone in Avonlea, Mr. Harrison surprises everybody when his wife turns up! All sorts of gossip surrounds this bizaare turn of events. "Annetta Clay says she left him because he wouldn't scrape his boots at the door and she doesn't blame her!"
|Who gets married at the end of this book?|
Miss. Lavender and Stephen Irving. After Miss. Lavender and Stephen Irving parted years before due to a misunderstanding, they are reunited and marry at the end of the book. "Isn't it beautiful to think how everything has turned out... how they have come together again after all the years of separation and misunderstanding?"
|What was the big mistake made by the AVIS?|
Painted the hall blue. The hall was supposed to be painted pale green, but a mix-up in paint numbers saw it painted bright blue! "But Avonlea's blue hall will be a byword in all the neighbouring settlements from this time out."
|How does Anne find out that Diana and Fred are engaged?|
She discovers them in the woods. Anne finds Fred holding Diana's hand on her way over to Orchard Slope. "What can she see in Fred? He's very nice and jolly... but he's just Fred Wright!"
|When Anne, Diana, Jane and Priscilla go on their "golden picnic," they find a lake. After drawing names from a hat, what did the girls end up naming the lake?|
Crystal Lake. All though all of these were options, it was Jane's suggestion, Crystal Pool that was drawn out of the hat. "If Anne thought that chance had played the pool a shabby trick she did not say so."
