He later played for the Reds and Dodgers. He entered the HOF in 1968, 18 years after his death at 51.

    t. The Braves abandoned Braves Field for the greener and not-long-after-less-green pastures of Milwaukee after the 1952 season. It was the site of Boston University's Nickerson Field in 2002, and some of the original stands are still being used.

    He was a prominent baseball photographer.. Conlon's photos are considered by many to be works of art, far above average. They can be seen in the book "Baseball's Golden Age: The Photographs of Charles M. Conlon." John B. "Jocko" Conlan was a National League umpire from 1941 to 1964. Ban Johnson was the first president of the American League.

What notable thing did Debs Garms do in 1940?
    He won the NL batting title.. Debs hit .355 with Pittsburgh in 1940. A career year!

How many years before Phil Niekro was born, was his brother Joe born?
    Phil is actually older. Phil was born in 1939, Joe in 1944. Both were pitchers. Niekro was among 20th-century players, the oldest to play regularly in the majors. He pitched in 1987 at age 48. He played for 24 years in the Majors.

What team was Tom Seaver with, when he recorded his 300th career victory?
    White Sox. Seaver pitched for all of these teams, but on August 4, 1985, at Yankee Stadium when he notched 300, he was with the Pale Hose.
