    1912. There was a club formed as Cambridge United in 1909, but there wasn't any connection between that club and the club formed in 1912 as Abbey United, which became Cambridge United in 1951.

Who was the club's first manager in their history?
    Bill Whittaker. Whittaker managed the club between 1949-55.

What season saw Cambridge United elected to the Football League?
    1970-71. Cambridge were elected to the Football League in place of Bradford Park Avenue, and finished 20th out of 24 in the then Division Four, with 66 points from 46 games.

Which team did Cambridge sell Dion Dublin to in 1992?
    Manchester United. Dublin started his career at Norwich City as a trainee in 1988, and was released onto Cambridge in the same year. In four years at the club, he played 202 games in all competitions and scored 73 goals, before moving to Old Trafford and Manchester United in 1992. His career took a nose-dive however, when he broke his leg playing for United, who turned to Eric Cantona after this, and sold Dion onto Coventry in 1994, where he stayed for four further years, before moving to Aston Villa in 1998.

    John Beck. Beck was first in charge of the team between 1990-92, but came back for 8 months in 2001, before being replaced in November of that year by Taylor.

    Cambridge won 6-0. The game took place on 18th September, 1971.

    David Crown. Crown scored 24 League goals in season 1985-86.

    Barnet. South African defender Goodhind was signed from Barnet in September 2001.
