Who is the current Demon Lord (In Training)?

Raenef. Erutis is a Sword Master and Chris is a Cleric. The current Demon Lord is Raenef V (Raenef the Fifth). Each Demon Lord, once discovered, is groomed for the position and given the name of the previous Demon Lord. Eclipse is Raenef's demon servant, who is training him to become a proper Demon Lord. Raenef is a bit childish and doesn't seem to be making very good progress.

Who is Raenef's demon tutor?

Eclipse. Leechi and Chris are humans and therefore can't be demon servants. Meruhesae is the "Seer" who Eclipse consults for advice on finding the new Demon Lord. Eclipse was charged with finding Raenef V and grooming him for his role. Though annoyed at his master's antics, it is clear that Eclipse cares deeply for the young boy.

Are Raenef V and Raenef IV related?

Y. Raenef IV is the father of Raenef V. Raenef IV and Eclipse were very close.

What is the name of the Demon Lord that tries to take Eclipse from Raenef V?

Krayon. Demon Lord Krayon was the main antagonist in volume 4. He has the ability to control dreams. In the end of the series, it is shown that he is currently following around Erutis, who he has a crush on.

Which of the people living in Raenef V's castle is a Cleric?

Chris. Mayr and Johnes were not characters in Demon Diary. Erutis is the Sword Master who arrived at the castle to kill the Demon Lord. Chris tries to summon a powerful Demon Lord to the Temple of Rased, but he summons Raenef V instead. Chris is hot-headed and hates Demons.

Erutis returns Demon Lord Krayon's affections.

F. Krayon and his advances actually annoy Erutis. He now follows her around, much to her dismay.

Which character kisses Raenef V?

Leeche. Leeche kisses Raenef V right before they departed. She wants him to wait for her to grow old enough to marry him. If he marries another women, she threatens that she will kill him.

The other Demon Lords don't take Raenef seriously.

t. At his commencement ceremony, Raenef V made a fool out of himself in front of the other Demon Lords. When they figured out that Eclipse was the one tutoring him, they all burst into laughter.

Raenef apologizes every time that Eclipse yells at him for doing (or not doing) something. Eclipse teaches him what he should really say when yelled at: "How dare you admonish me, ____?"

Vermin. When Raenef says this, Eclipse and others find it funny. It isn't meant to be, however.

What war did Eclipse fight in?

The Hangma War. The war was between humans and demons. The Gods had to draw up a treaty to end the war. Eclipse's position and actions in the war are unknown. What is known is that he earned his reputation from whatever it was that he did.

At the end of the series, do both sides of Raenef merge?

Y. Raenef's two sides become one in book 7. The Raenef everyone knows is the naïve, innocent one. The second Raenef is more cruel and knows what he is doing with magic. He is very intelligent, as well.

What is the first magic spell that Raenef V learns from Eclipse?

The Dark Arrow. Raenef learns this spell in the first book. He says that the name is "corny". Seeing the look on Eclipse's face, Raenef V realizes that Eclipse is the one who invented the spell.

Why is dark magic forbidden in the world of humans?

Because of the destruction it caused. Raenef IV was the one who taught the dark arts to the humans. Eclipse assisted him.

The story of how Eclipse and Raenef V meet is covered in the second and third books. Why is Eclipse told to find the next Raenef?

Because he fails to tell the gods that a new heir is needed. The gods aren't happy with Eclipse when they give him his assignment. They don't give him much to go on, other then the gender of the person he had to find.

What type of guild was Raenef V a part of when Eclipse found him?

Thief. Raenev V joined the thieves' guild to survive. He was an orphan living in the streets at the time. He was on the run from guards when he met Eclipse.
