1. Which of the following was not one of the quintuplets?

Answer: Olivia

The names of the Dionne quintuplets were: Yvonne, Annette, Cecile, Marie, and Emilie. Their father's name was Oliva, but there was no quintuplet named Olivia.
2. The quintuplets were allowed to mix freely with the visitors who came to see them.

Answer: False

The quintuplets were in an observation gallery. On one side was a playground and on the other side, the viewing area. The girls were behind glass and wire mesh so no viewers could touch them or speak to them. The government worried about kidnapping, and their doctor worried about germs.
3. Prior to the quintuplets birth, what was the occupation of their father, Oliva Dionne?

Answer: a farmer

He was a farmer. He lived with his family in a farmhouse on the Ontario side of the Quebec-Ontario border. When his wife gave birth to the quintuplets, he became terribly worried because it was during the depression and he already had five existing children.
4. Who was the premier of Ontario who made the quintuplets wards of the king and had them taken from their parents?

Answer: Mitchell Hepburn

George Henry preceeded Hepburn and Gordon Conant succeeded him. Harry Nixon succeeded Conant. There is a famous picture of Hepburn with the five girls. He is reported to have been terrified of the babies.
5. In 1965, the four remaining quintuplets wrote a book about their lives. What was the title?

They were strong Roman Catholics. All of the quintuplets unsuccessfully tried their luck at becoming nuns later in life. Three of them eventually married.
7. While in the care of the state, the quintuplets were encouraged to dress differently in order to develop their own personalities.

Answer: False

They were forced to dress alike at all times. Sometimes they had to wear exactly the same thing, including colours, and at other times they wore the same styles in different colours. This carried over to their lives when they returned to their family.
8. In 1995, the three surviving Dionne quintuplets wrote a book titled, "Family Secrets". What allegation did they make of their father?

10. The parents of which higher-order multiples did the three surviving Dionne sisters write to in 1997, warning them of too much publicity for their children just for the sake of money?

Answer: the McCaughey septuplets

The Dionnes hoped that if they could change the fate of the newborn McCaugheys, then their lives really would have meant something.
