Special Sub-Topic: Elf Queen of Shannara

What was Wren's mother's name?

Alleyne & alleyne. She is a big part of Wren's past and is mentioned several times throughout the book.

What caused the Wisteron to wake up so suddenly?
Killeshan erupted. It seemed like the worst form of bad luck for the volcano to erupt then, but it did and the fight commenced.

What did Eowen Cerise see in her vision that she didn't tell Ellenroh?
Ellenroh's daughter would be killed coming back to Arborlon. Eowen tells Wren this after Ellenroh's death and says that she suspected the queen knew.

Who is the first member of the company to die?
Cort. He goes down with the serpent which attacks them on the river before they enter Eden's Murk.

What was the name of the plant with the poison-tipped needles that kills the Owl?
A Darter & The Darter & Darter. These things are encountered twice, once by Wren and Garth on the way to Arborlon and in Eden's Murk.

How do Wren and Garth first meet Stresa?
He is trapped in one of the Wisteron's webs. In the beginning they find him and free him and he leads them away from the Wisteron.

What was the Wisteron's poison doing to Garth?
Making him a Shadowen. This is the reason that Wren has to kill him. He doesn't want to become one of the Shadowen and forces Wren to end his life.

What is the Elven number for luck?
    9. This is why there are nine members of the company who set out from Arborlon with the Loden.

What is Gavilan's nickname for Ellenroh?
Aunt Ell & Aunt El. He uses it now and again. During the High Council meeting, Ellenroth gets angry at him for not addressing her properly while in council.

What does Wren do with the Ruhk Staff and the Loden after Arborlon is restored?
She drains all the magic out of them and throws them away. This obviously happens at the very end. I thought it a good indicator of her character that she put the magic back where it belonged instead of trying to use it further.
