At the beginning of the episode, Optimus is out exploring Earth along with which other Maximal?

Dinobot. Dinobot was out in the field as Optimus' backup. He did not like wandering around in the open exploring. He complained that it was strategically unsound, and that they were targets. Optimus ignored him, and insisted that he could still explore the planet and learn things, despite being locked in conflict with the Predacons.

While the Maximals were out exploring, who ambushed them?

Scorponok. Scorponok stood up from behind a rock and started attacking the two Maximals. He made a boulder fall on Dinobot, rendering him helpless. While Optimus was going to help, Scorponok hit the Maximal leader with a cyber bee. Though wounded, Optimus managed to blast Scorponok, who then fell down a waterfall.

During the ambush, Optimus was stuck with a Cyber Bee. What was the bee supposed to do to Optimus?

Turn him into a coward. The cyber bee was a viral mine. It injected a virus into Optimus that was meant to make him a coward. Also, while the bee was attached, Optimus could not transform. It rerouted all the life support systems to itself, meaning if it was removed, Optimus would die shortly afterward, unless injected with the anti-virus. Lastly, once removed, the bee started a short countdown timer for an explosive designed to destroy everything in its immediate vicinity.

Unfortunately for the Predacons, the cyber bee made Optimus extremely aggressive. Who ordered that Optimus be disarmed and locked up?

Optimus himself. When his new aggressive behavior became apparent, the Maximals first held him down, but also tried to support Optimus in his fight against the new programming. Optimus, though, felt he wasn't strong enough to fight it, and ordered he be disarmed and locked up.

Which Maximal released Optimus so he could use his new aggressive personality against the Predacons?

Cheetor. Cheetor was watching Optimus in the cell as he tried to fight against the virus. Optimus said that he may be able to use the new aggressive programming to their advantage if they attacked the Predacon base. Cheetor brought Optimus back to the main deck to discuss a new strategy to get the anti-virus. However, Optimus got a little to excited, and shot off a round inside the ship, which then set off the alarms, angering him further. He shot up most of the interior of the Axalon before the Maximals were able to pin him down, though not for long. He knocked them off and left to attack the Predacon base alone.

Optimus was accidentally angered in the Axalon, which made him snowball out of control. He eventually got off the Axalon and headed for the Predacon base. One of the Maximals had the idea of attempting to negotiate with the Predacons for the anti-virus before Optimus destroyed them all. Whose idea was this?

Dinobot. Dinobot said to Cheetor that they should try tactics that the old Optimus would use, in this case, negotiation (Which is rare, as Dinobot generally preferred violent and permanent solutions). Cheetor called the Predacons and tried to talk them into releasing the anti-virus before Optimus destroyed them all, but Megatron declined. All Cheetor did was alert the Predacons of Optimus' imminent arrival.

When Optimus attacked the Predacon base, he infiltrated it easily. Who was sent first to stop him?

Tarantulas. Tarantulas was sent first, and snuck up on Optimus from behind. He tried to shoot Optimus with his anchor missile, but Optimus caught it. Optimus started walking towards the spider, while Tarantulas used his leg guns (machine guns), battering Optimus fiercely. When Optimus was right in front of Tarantulas, he picked up the Predacon and stuck him to a wall using his own weapon (a rather brutal scene for a kids' show). Tarantulas would return in later episodes unharmed, but for this fight, he was out.

The second Predacon sent to deal with Optimus was Waspinator. From where did Optimus ambush him?

From behind. As Waspinator was confidently wandering the narrow corridors of the Predacon base, searching for Optimus, he suddenly heard a noise. He flattened himself against a wall, listening to heavy footsteps that came from everywhere at once. He looked both left and right, but Optimus' hands appeared on either side of him as he busted through the wall behind the Predacon. Waspinator was not able to put up a fight before Optimus neutralized him

Who ran into the base to help Optimus?

Cheetor. Cheetor ran into the base while the other Maximals held off Terrorsaur and Blackarachnia, who were charged with defending the perimeter. Inside the base, Optimus had a small chat with Megatron where he was given the option of submitting himself to Megatron's bidding, or die. The berserker Optimus took option two, and ripped the mine off himself. He threw it and stuck it to Megatron, who ran off, tossing the anti-virus into the air. Cheetor appeared and caught the anti-virus before it smashed on the ground, and injected it into Optimus on the spot.

In a final desperate act, Optimus ripped off the cyber bee, activating its countdown timer. When he threw it at Megatron, he used a trick he had learned from what?

A weed. At the beginning of the episode, when Optimus and Dinobot were out exploring, they found a weed. Dinobot was distressed that they were wasting time looking at pathetic plants, but Optimus was an advocate of learning new things. As Dinobot stalked off, the plant launched its seed at him, sticking it to the back of his neck, the one place Dinobot could not reach. Optimus used this knowledge when he threw the cyber bee at Megatron (Megatron having a similar beast mode to Dinobot's).
