United. United is one of the world's oldest airlines and has a very extensive route network covering most parts of the United States and Canada. They also fly internationally to Central & South America, Asia, Australia and Europe.

New Zealand. Air New Zealand is the airline of New Zealand (my home country!) and has a route network covering destinations in Asia, California, Australia and a daily flight to London. They are also a major player in flights to the South Pacific Islands such as Fiji, the Cook Islands, Tahiti (French Polynesia), New Caledonia, Samoa and Tonga. The airline also has an extensive New Zealand domestic route network.

Lufthansa. Lufthansa is the flag carrier of Germany. One of the world's oldest and largest airlines, they have an expansive route network throughout Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. As a founding member of the Star Alliance the airlines has formed close ties with other Star Alliance airlines such as United, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways International and Air New Zealand. The airline has its headquarters in Frankfurt with another major base in Munich.

Olympic. Olympic Airways is the flag carrier airline of Greece. Flying out of Athens, they serve destinations in Europe, the Middle East, North America and Egypt. They also have a domestic flight network including the Greek Islands. This airline used to fly through to Sydney, but no longer does so.

Asiana. Asiana Airlines is the second airline of South Korea. A member of the Star Alliance, this airline flies to many destinations in Asia, Europe and to a couple of cities in Australia. Asiana Airlines cabin crew often have hidden talents and have been known to treat their onboard passengers to a live concert.

Aeroflot. Aeroflot is the one of the world's oldest airlines and has an expansive route network, considering the size of it's home country, Russia. Having only flown Russian built aircraft for many years, the airline is now using some western aircraft, primarily from Airbus.

Emirates. Often regarded as one of the top airlines in the world, Emirates is based in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. They have a large route network covering all of Asia, many cities in Europe, flights to Australia and New Zealand and recently, flights to the USA. They will be one of the first airlines to operate the super jumbo Airbus A380 aircraft.

Aerolineas Argentinas. Aerolineas Argentinas is the flag carrier airline for the nation of Argentina. They have a large network of flights throughout South America and also to North America, Europe and across the South Pole to New Zealand and Australia. The airline is based at Ministro Pistarini (Ezeiza) Airport in Buenos Aires.

Horizon. Horizon Air is a subsidiary of Alaska Airlines flying to some of the less populated cities in the great state of Alaska.

Tahiti Nui. Air Tahiti Nui is the international airline of French Polynesia based in Papeete on the island of Tahiti. From Papeete, they serve cities such as Auckland, Sydney, Los Angeles & Tokyo. When female passengers board an Air Tahiti Nui flight they are given a flower which is a nice touch.
