    False. Koalas actually get all of their water from eating eucalyptus leaves. It would be extremely rare to see one drinking from a stream. If there is a drought they might drink from waterholes or creeks.

What is the scientific name for a koala?
    Phascolarctos cinereous. Although you wouldn't normally call a koala by its scientific name, it is good to know. Macropus giganteus is the scientific name for kangaroos, and Vombatus ursinus is the scientific name for wombats. Ailuropoda melanoleuca is the scientific name for pandas.

The word koala means "sleeps all day".
