    1987. The All-Star race was first run in 1985 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. In 1986 it was held at Atlanta. Then it when back to Lowe's for 1987 and it had been there for many years.

Lowe's Motor Speedway is called the what?
    Beast of the Southeast. The track has a reputation for catching the drivers out. If a driver takes his eye off the "ball" for a second, he is in the wall or spinning out. Some say that the track as a "mean spirit". Maybe it's the smooth surface with lots of grip or the changes in track temperature that makes it bite back.
