Its flat body is wider than it is high. It has short legs that bow outward. It has a slightly upturned snout. Its shaggy fur is a grizzled grey to brown. A white stripe bisects the shoulders. Short bushy tail.

    Badger.

One of the larger members of the rodent family. Its fur is dark brown, and it has a flat, hairless tail. Basically spends its lifetime in or around water. Large incisor teeth grow throughout its lifetime.
    Beaver.

This is the most common of the wildcats. Its coat is a tawny tan color in the summer, and somewhat gray in winter. The legs have black horizontal bars.
    Bobcat.

This compact, chunky, short-legged animal has yellowish-white fur that is shaggy in winter, and shorter in the summer. Both sexes have a beard and horns.
    Mountain goat.

Ben Franklin thought this bird should have been favored over the chosen national symbol of the U.S.A.
    Wild turkey.

This is a large, torpedo-shaped warm water animal. It grows to approx. 15 feet in length, and 2000 lbs. Its body is grayish, and almost completely hairless. It has a broad, paddle-shaped tail.
    Manatee.

This is the largest member of the deer family.
    Moose.

Another large rodent, its name is derived from the French.
    Porcupine.

Famous as a national symbol, this animal was recently removed from the endangered species list.
    Bald eagle.

This is a large ungainly bird, with a large amount of extra skin hanging under its bill.
    Pelican.
