In 2000, he ran for president again, this time on the Reform Party ticket. In-between campaigns, he has been a prominent television commentator.

Connecticut. Ralph Nader was born on February 27, 1934, in Winsted, Connecticut. A long time consumer advocate and author, he was considered for the presidency in 1972, but did not run for office until 1996, when he ran a the Green Party's nomination. He ran a second time in 2000, receiving 2.74% of the popular vote. A third run in 2004 as an independent candidate was less successful.

In 1994, he helped orchestrate the Republican majority victory in the House of Representatives and was chosen as speaker, which he served as until 1998. He was Time Magazine's "Man of the Year" in 1995.
