This Elmo was the youngest officer ever promoted to Rear Admiral (in the U.S. Navy).

    Admiral Elmo R. "Bud" Zumwalt. Admiral Zumwalt served in World War II, Vietnam, and on the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Time magazine hailed Admiral Zumwalt as "the Navy's most popular leader since World War II." In 1998 Admiral Zumwalt was awarded the Presidential medal of Freedom for his service to the United States in war and peace.

This Elmo was the movie's first Tarzan.
    Elmo Lincoln. Elmo Lincoln was born in Rochester, Indiana in 1889. He appeared in many movies, but is best known as the first as first movie Tarzan. At the end he appeared in circuses, billed as the original Tarzan. Elmo Lincoln passed away in 1952, the cause of death was a heart attack.

Elmo Patrick _______ was a convicted murderer on whom Sean Penn's "Matthew Poncelet" character in "Dead Man Walking" was based.
    Sonnier. A Louisiana man who was convicted (along with his brother Eddie) of kidnapping a young couple and murdering them, he was executed by electrocution in 1984.

    Cloe. Cloe Elmo was born in 1909 and died in 1962. She counted "Carmen," "Amneris" and "Mrs. Quickly" among her roles. In her later years she chose teaching. In 1954 she was appointed professor in Ankara.
