Special Sub-Topic: The One And Only Wonder Man

Wonder Man has had many costumes. When he first appeared in "Avengers" #9 in 1964, which two colors were his costume?

Red and Green. Wonder Man had a red belt and a red "W" on his chest, as well as red boots. His mask, shirt, and leggings were green. In the 2000s his costume was simplified to a basic black costume with the same red "W", which I personally like better.

Wonder Man fell on some hard times and eventually went to jail for embezzling funds. Whom did he blame for his misfortune?
Iron Man. Like Tony Stark, Wonder Man was an industrialist. His company fell on hard times due to stiff competition from Stark's company, and it was this enmity that led Wonder Man to initially be an enemy of the Avengers! At the last second Wonder Man turned hero, and saved the Avengers, but put himself in a catatonic state. These events happened in the ninth issue of "Avengers", which went on sale in 1964.

Wonder Man entered a catatonic state for many years. Before he was back to normal, he was used by many villains. Which one is NOT one of these villains?
Loki. Kang used Wonder Man in "Avengers" #131-132 in 1972, Black Talon employed his powers in "Avengers" #152 in 1977, and Living Laser manipulated Wonder Man to his own evil ends in "Avengers Annual" #6 in 1976.

After joining the Avengers, whom did Wonder Man defeat?
The Grim Reaper. The Grim Reaper is Wonder Man's brother, Eric Williams! He was attempting to destroy the Vision, an android based on the brain patterns of Wonder Man. These events happened in "Avengers" #160, which went on sale in 1977.

Being brought back to life can really take an emotional toll, and Wonder Man suffered from an acute fear of dying in battle until defeating Korvac.
    T. Korvac was a mechanical genius from an alternate Earth whose body was fused with that of a computer module. He fought the Avengers for ten issues in the 1970's. The final battle between Korvac and the Avengers happened in "Avengers" #177 in 1978.

When not saving the world or knocking out kooks in costumes, what does Wonder Man enjoy doing?
Acting. In "Avengers" #211, the Greek god Hercules uses his contacts to begin Wonder Man's acting career. Wonder Man was so intent on becoming an actor that he moved to Hollywood to follow his dream! "Avengers" #211 debuted in 1981.

After the West Coast branch of the Avengers dissolves, which group does Wonder Man join?
Force Works. Wonder Man became a founding member of the team, which also featured U.S. Agent, Century, Iron Man, and the Scarlet Witch. It was during an adventure with this team that Wonder Man was turned into an ionic being. "Force Works" debuted in 1994.

After his ionic form was disintegrated, Wonder Man only appeared when which Avengers member was in danger.
Scarlet Witch. This odd relationship went on for several issues until the Scarlet Witch was able to fully revive Wonder Man into a human form. Later, the two became lovers. Wonder Man first came back from the dead to help the Scarlet Witch in the third volume of "Avengers" in the third issue, which debuted in 1998.

Wonder Man willingly worked with Iron Man's faction during the Super Human Registration Act.
    F. S.H.I.E.L.D. blackmailed Wonder Man into supporting the pro-registration faction. Accusing him of misusing funds from a non-profit organization he had started, they forced Wonder Man to fight for them and also to act in several educational commercials. These events took place in the miniseries "Civil War", which ran from 2006 to 2007.

Now a member of the Mighty Avengers, Wonder Man began dating which other member?
Ms. Marvel. The team leader, Ms. Marvel knows not to take Wonder Man out of dangerous situations due to their relationship. Other members of the Mighty Avengers include the Sentry and Ares, Greek god of war. Wonder Man warned Ms. Marvel in the sixth issue of "Mighty Avengers", debuting in 2007.
