    Duln Forests. The Duln Forest is usually traveled through by the Southlanders and trackers of all races. Not too many of the other races visit Shady Vale and therefore have to travel through the forest.

What is the name of Flick and Shea's father?
    Curzad Ohmsord. Curzad Ohmsford is Flick's father but not Shea's, since he adopted him when his parents were killed by The Warlock Lord's minions.

Where in the Southland did Menion Leah get seperated from Flick and Shea Ohmsford?
    Black Oaks. After the attack of the Mist Wraith, and the loss of their rope, the company got seperated and went different ways. They met again in Culhaven.

Durin and Dayel are brought with Allanon. How are they related?
    They are brothers. Durin and Dayel are both experts with the bow. They both carry an ash bow with them. Durin is always looking after Dayl since he is older than him.

Durin and Dayel are from which race?
    Elves. Durin and Dayel are elves. They are cousins of the King of the Elves, Eventine.

What is the fortress that contained the Sword of Shannara until the Warlock lord had it transported?
    Paranor. In the time of the Second War of the Races, Bremen had a master smith forge the Sword of Shannara. Jerle Shannara used it to defeat the Warlock lord but it did not kill him. Then he put in a tri-sotne and put it in Paranor's vaults, where it remained safely until the Warlock Lord returned.

How much of the Anar forest did the Gnomes control in this book?
    One-third. The Gnomes only contrlol the Upper Anar. The Dwarfs control the Central and Lower. All are about equal size. Only in the Second War of the Races did the Gnomes control the Central as well.

In the Hall of Kings where did the Valg live?
    The Assembly Room. In the assembly there is a giant pool of water where the giant serpent Valg rested in. When the company tried to pass through they awoke it and got into a great battle with the beast.

What was the name of the pass in which Shea fell into the Rabb River?
    Dragon's Crease & dragon's crease. Shea slipped on the pass after a tremor and slid down the mountain side, catching on a projecting rock. They were too late to bring a rope when the second tremor knocked the Valeman off the cliff and into the raging Rabb River below.

True or False: Shea was found by a thief named Panamon Creel and a troll named Keltset in a camp of sleeping Gnomes.
    t. Panamon Creel and Keltset have been partners since Panamon rescued Keltset. Keltset never spoke to him or anyone since he met him but he could understand words.

Who was the traitor that was making Palance go mad?
    Stenmin. Stenmin's plan was to make Palance disband the Border Legion so that the Northland army would stand unopposed on its journey to take the Southland.

How many times total did Shea have to use the Elfstones?
    4. Shea used them once to find their way through the Lowlands of Clete, once against the Mist Wraith, once against the Skull Bearer that knew Keltset, and once to find their way through the mists of River Lethe.

Where did the battle between the Northland army and the Border Legion occur?
    Callahorn and Inside Tyrsis. The battle was outside of Tyrsis at first until the Northland army pushed the Border Legion into the city. The Border Legion was pushed back as far as the Bridge of Sendic.

True or False: Panamon, Keltset, and Hendel died in this book.
    f. Panamon didn't die in the book since he brought back the stones. (It also is more clear as you read more books).

What killed the Warlock Lord?
    The Truth. The Truth killed the Warlock lord because, since he was already dead and the sword showed that to him, he couldn't accept it and so died.
