At the 2000 Sydney Olympics a crowd favorite was the swimmer from Equatorial Guinea, Eric "the eel" Moussambani. What time did he swim from the 100m freestyle?
    112.72 seconds. The event was won by Pieter van den Hoogenband who broke the World Record with a time of 47.84 seconds. Moussambani splashed in, taking almost double that time for his 112.72 seconds (slower than the 200m world record of 1m 44.06s held by Ian Thorpe).
