Fun Trivia: S : SmackDown!

Special Sub-Topic: WWE "Smackdown" August 14, 2003

As "Smackdown" began who came down to the ring?

Vince McMahon. Vince came to the ring and told the crowd that he was going to call out someone they thought they knew but didn't. He called out Brock Lesnar and he came down to the ring.

Who was the next person to come down to the ring?
Brock Lesnar. Lesnar said that friendship had nothing to do with his attack on Kurt Angle the previous week. He said that Kurt was his friend, but not anymore. Here is Brock's definition of friendship "The art of using someone to be successful until that person is no longer useful." He told the crowd not to judge him and told them that they use their friends too. Vince went on to say that no matter what condition Kurt Angle is in he will defend the WWF Heavyweight Title at "Summerslam" against Brock.

Who was the last person to come to the ring?
Stephanie McMahon. Vince asked Stephanie if she learned anything. She said that she learned that Vince would send a 350 pound monster to the ring so Sable could get the win. She told him that she would never quit. Vince told her that maybe it was a bad investment to hire her as General Manager. He said that the worst ivestment he ever made was merrying her mother. Stephanie tried to slap him, but Brock stopped her. McMahon told her that she would be facing A-Train later on.

Did the World's Greatest Tag Team (Haas and Benjamin) retain their titles?
    y. This match had a lot of back and forth action. At one point Kidman hit Shelton Benjamin with the "Shooting Star Press," but the referee was distracted. Haas and Benjamin would go on to retain their titles.

Who did Danny Basham have a match against?
Billy Gunn. At one point Shaniqua threw Torrie Wilson into the ring. The referee was distracted and this allowed both Bashams to give Billy the "Ball And Gag." Danny pinned Billy for the win.

Who did the Undertaker have a match against?
The Big Show & Big Show. The Undertaker took on the Big Show. At one point in the match they were fighting on the outside. A-Train came out of nowhere and hit the Undertaker with a two by four, which caused the Undertaker to get counted out. When will A-Train learn that you don't do that to the Undertaker and expect to get away with it? You can bet that the Undertaker will whip his butt at "Summerslam!"

Who did Zach Gowen have a match against?
John Cena. Zach fought hard in this match, but Cena gave him the "FU" for the win.

Who did Tajiri have a match against
Rhyno. Tajiri got the victory when he gave Rhyno a kick to the face. I thought Rhyno would win, but anything can happen in the WWE.

Brock Lesnar took on Spanky. In keeping with the theme that anything can happen in the WWE Spanky won the match. How?
Disqualification. Spanky won when Brock was disqualified for using a chair. Brock pounded him some more before leaving the ring. Brock is so much better being a heel. I think he's "Smackdown's" version of Kane in that they are both monsters in their respective brands who can't be stopped.

What two men got involved in the Stephanie verses A-Train match?
The Undertaker and the Big Show. A-Tran dominated the match. At one point the Undertaker came down and he and A-Train fought for awhile. The Big Show came out and pounded the Undertaker and A-Train got back in the ring. Knowing that Stephanie was out of it, he went to the top rope and gave Stephanie a Body Splash for the win. After the match, Vince McMahon kissed Sable right in front of Stephanie. Here's a thought. What if Stephanie quits as General Manager and Vince hires Stone Cold Steve Austin and Eric Bischoff to take over "Smackdown" while their running "Raw" at the same time? You never know. I don't think Stephanie's a quitter though.
